Will we ever find out the "truth" behind the Tempo craze. OOC I understand some of it, a plot by primal plant spirits and eco-terrorists to compromise a large number of metahumans through possession but for what purpose.
Is there any intention to ever officially conclude this chapter of Shadowrun history. I still see it referenced in recent products. I was glancing over the ToC for Conspiracy Theories wondering if it might show up but didn't pick it out there.
Is there any plan to continue it? Have the answers appeared and I just missed it? Has anyone come up with there own Tempo plot?

Maybe CrashCart is experimenting for Insect Spirits again? ;D

Reading through my copy of Conspiracy Theories right now, and there's a hint that new developments might be in the works for tempo. No word on what, though.
-
I cannot speak for upcoming developments, but the original intended continuation plotline following Ghost Cartels was pretty much dead by the time I left, if only because there was practically no-one left familiar with it, and because follow-up sourcebooks like War! took such a radically different path than originally planned. Such is life.

There're still plot options that can come from it, and some spinoff is ongoing (Haze's storyline, for example) but, as AH mentioned, the original idea probably poofed.
So, it could be a poofed opportunity that gets ignored as other storylines are followed, but there're openings there if anyone wants to follow up on 'em.
Me?
I was going to do the story with vampires instead of the bad guys that were used. On the one hand, we've never really had a good vampire plot, but, on the other, vampires are a wee bit played out, so.

Played out?
*looks forlornly at the vampire story he's writing...*

It's the sparkling, it's pissed everyone off.

This one doesn't sparkle.

This one doesn't sparkle.
Real ones never did.
EDIT: But try telling that to marketing departments. :'(

Teenage girls ruin everything.

This is pretty much what I figured. Thanks for the reply. Curious about the truth as intended behind the storyline. And who's cage could I rattle to get that info?
War was going to be connected to Ghost Cartels?

Synner would be the one to ask about the "Great Beast" storyline, which I recall would have tied into the Amazonian-Aztlan War somewhat following Ghost Cartels...but this was ages ago, back before Dogs of War became War!, and I think everyone who cares to knows my opinion on that product, the associated storyline, and the effort that went into making it. I think the last vestige of it might be in Vice. But at this point it's a plot-that-never-happened, like the Ley War, Cod Wars IV, the revelation of Icarus' true identity, or the CAS/UCAS reunification.

You sir are the devil. Seriously I'm plagued by one lost plot point and you give more to cloud my acheing soul. Like to drag a few of the old team out for drinks and pick there minds . Would love to get more info on this stuff.

Shadowrun is littered with lost, forgotten, and abandoned plot points.
I think my favorite was one that was attributed to Tom Dowd. "Loremaster" was an unexplained reference for a long, long time in Shadowrun, someone spoken about by the Dragons with reverence. Eventually it became a title that went along with whichever Dragon had the Jewel of Memory, but at one time it was supposed to be a specific individual, someone the Dragon's Feared...
Harlequin's Father. Who has been traveling the astral plane since Earthdawn. And when he finally came back, he was going to possibly kick off a war between the Great Dragons and the Immortal Elves.
Yeah... There were some strange, crazy, and really, really TERRIBLE ideas back in the day. :)

I'm shocked that the halcyon days of yore were not halcyon ;)

"Good morning world. Welcome back. Play nice.
-Saeletra"?

Indeed. :)
AFAIK no one knows what the plot behind that one was except maybe Nigel, but if so he took that to his grave :/
These days, it's justa fun unexplained mystery (that I would very much like to see remain an unexplained mystery).

Indeed. Part of what ruins some game lines are books that go into utter trivia about some obscure setting element or other.
