So I am wondering if anyone knows if a PDF could contain a script to go through a table and generate results? Let me explain...

Say you have a table with names, each one having a numerical value say for 5 to 30 (i.e. Jason 5, Bull 6, John 7, Jade 8, etc..). You click a button and the script comes up with 5 and displays "Jason" as the result.

Can a PDF house something like that?

If so, where would I look for more info on such a thing?

Thanks in advance!  ;D
It's not the one with your name on it; it's the one addressed "to whom it may concern" you've got to think about.

I know that you can put some triggers into a PDF file (for instance, on a character sheet, you can fields be calculated values of other fields). But I honestly don't know how deep the scripting can go on a PDF.
