So, I tried to redo my favorite character that I've already played in 4 and 5 before in 6. I optimized a bit but I don't consider her hyper specialized at all. Please rate her mechanically. Although I might also add her backstory once I've updated it for 6E.  :-X

Under HLO, you spent 6, not 11, Karma on the Knowledge Skills:

- It's based on your Logic, not your pre-Karma Logic (Note that freebie points are step Six, Karma is step Four), so you have 2 freebie points, not 1
- Language raising costs the same as an additional Knowledge Skill, so the specialization is 3 karma, not 5.

This gives you 5 karma extra, which I'd definitely spend on Stealth.

I'd replace the Firearms Licenses with Concealed Carry Licenses, to more match the archetypes. If you look at the Archetypes, you'll also note that Smartgun tends to just be rolled into the Concealed Carry License. I'd replace the Smartgun Licenses with Cyberware Licenses (and pray nobody ever looks into your Wired Reflexes in medical detail, realizing they're rating 3 instead of 2, aka Illegal). Also, maybe check into what kind of Licenses your real identity has, in case you ever wander about with that one.

Two fake SINs is a quite nice touch, but to be honest I have no idea if you'd ever need it. Discuss with your GM, because it might just be a massive waste of nuyen. Would be a waste to put yourself into a bigger Debt for no use whatsoever. And maybe you can use a bit of cash to put some enhancements on that Armor Jacket. Or maybe get some boosted Business Clothes.

I have the character at 0.82 Essence, not 0.7 (WR 3.3, DJ 0.08, Ears+Eyes 0.24+0.24, MT 0.66, TP 0.66. 311960/275000 Nuyen, which is 8 (not 9) karma spent on nuyen and 3040 nuyen left. So I got your character at 3040 nuyen and 6 karma left, and 0.12 more essence than you calculated (also 2 Capacity left in your Ears but you can fill that in whenever).

I REALLY recommend using the extra Karma to buy Stealth, so your character gets 2 extra dice there (and can specialize for 5 karma for another 2 dice in many cases). I also strongly suggest discussing that second fake SIN with a DM, because that's not just 4 karma, but under the errata 2k nuyen per month in interest that you have to pay off.

For the rest: Solid Face, nice Athletics (though maybe get a climbing kit soonish), I'd consider a bit of Engineering in the future for B&E, you can handle yourself in a fight.

I attached the charsheet. Note that the current Karma is bugged: HLO didn't subtract 10 Karma for Edge 1->2, which I filed a bugreport for.
How am I not part of the forum?? O_O I am both active and angry!

Thanks a lot!

I'll look into saving some cash on the second Fake SIN and grab Stealth.

Overall very nice, minor suggestions.  Gunnbunnies want Edge and Max Firearms skills.  Dropping goons on the first pass before they act is the best way to reduce damage to the team.  Edge actions and all the dice.  Edit: I'd flip Skills/Meta priority if you want more shooty, less social.  And the Edge helps in Social situations too...

100 tabs of Zen?  O.o  "Yes officer, it's all for personal use ...."

It's not 5th edition, you can totally have Muscle Toner 4 out of the gate these days if you want.

I also like either High Pain Threshold or Damage Conspirators on my combat characters.  You're going to get dinged up, just rub some dirt on it and get back in there.

Platelet Factories are another but of 'ware that tends to go under the radar.  It's very, very, very good for any combat focused character.
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

Now that you mention it... considering that Damage Codes are lower all across the board in 6, doesn't that make Platelet Factories even better than they used to be?

Much.  And consider the synergy that effect has with the new dynamic of not being able to reliably
soak every hit down to nothing.

Although, that does bring me to a quick rules question since I have never used them before. Are they applied before I roll body, or after?

After.  It's talking about when you'd be applying the damage to the condition monitor.  You just take 1 less.  It's basically a free but conditional soak.  (as opposed to an automatically free soak if it was BEFORE rolling Body)
