Yamaha Growler Equipment (Both): Rigger Interface; Standard Weapon Mount (Ingram Smartgun XI, 250x Regular Ammo); Maneuvering [Rt4], Weapon Targeting [Rt 4]

Mostly a "Wheelman"-style Rigger to start with, transports the team in the Gopher, provides aerial reconnaissance via his Blackhawk, and the two Growlers can be used to transport team-members who lack a ride of their own and don't want to ride in the truck. They'll also make decent ground-attack drones in a pinch. As the team begins to bring in Nuyen from successful `runs, he can buy more drones to shift into a "Drone Swarm"-style Rigger and begin to build up his skills as a Decker.

Given the cost of vehicles versus microdrones and minidrones, I find it best to start with a nice vehicle and buy the robots later.

Awesome!

What would be the Electronic Warfare specialisation mostly ? Jamming, Spoofing, Decrypting, Take control of other device ?

1. I dont understand where the Intuition 7 is coming from

2. generally speaking i am doubtful if the Ressources A is really used well. Could you explain where all the Nuyen are spent ? Control Rig 3 is extremly expensive since it uses a mathematical exponentation but still i dont get where all the Nuyen are gone :)

Edit: You bought a vertical-take-off airplane right ? :) i would skip that and get A on Attributes. Seriously :D

Can you even make Cracking tests without an Attack and Sleaze attribute?

Can you even make Cracking tests without an Attack and Sleaze attribute?

Jam Signals should work under any circumstances.

You know that anyway ZeroSum ;). But for others: there are many threads about that topic - i hope the Errata and/or some official FAQ will bring clarification.

At the moment - as is see RAI - you need need either to use a Deck or a RCC as primary Device.

That means a Rigger would have to carry his RCC and a cheap Deck (or vice versa)

if he wants to use Deck but he uses RCC -> Jack out -> Relog with Deck (to gain access to Sleaze and Attack)
If he wants to use RCC but he uses Deck -> Jack out -> Relog with RCC (to gain access to shared Autosofts and Noise reduction)

The rules as written dont contain any informations how to handle the use of RCC and Deck at the same time by the same person ... :) anyone feel free to point me to pages if you know more

I genuinely don't :)

When I first built my own rigger I considered dabbling in Electronics or Cracking for the purposes of performing counter-hacking actions, but the rules mechanics are really unclear on what you can and cannot do with those skills without a Deck. So in the end I just dropped it entirely, figuring that Decker/Rigger hybrids are not really intended to function as a genuine archetype. Shame, really, because while you couldn't do both great it would be a nice way to bridge two niches that, in my experience anyway, are sometimes relegated to NPCs at certain tables.

Agreed; this is definitely part of the challenge with rigging while decking or vice versa.

Mostly I want this for using electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) to protect my own hoop. Jamming other people’s signals with my jammer (ECM) is also handy.

1. I dont understand where the Intuition 7 is coming from

I put six Attribute Points in it... Which I now realize is an error, since the Human maximum is 6. No excuse here, I just didn't double-check my work. I'll fix it.

2. generally speaking i am doubtful if the Ressources A is really used well. Could you explain where all the Nuyen are spent ? Control Rig 3 is extremly expensive since it uses a mathematical exponentation but still i dont get where all the Nuyen are gone :)

Control Rigs are pricey, but so are vehicles...

Starting Funds: ¥ 470,000
Augmentations:    ¥ 221,550
Weapons:    ¥  41,850
Armor:       ¥   3,000
Electronics:    ¥ 102,440
Vehicles:    ¥  69,500
Other Stuff:    ¥  13,260
Final Funds:    ¥       0

Can you even make Cracking tests without an Attack and Sleaze attribute?

I don't think so, which is why I will be waiting until I buy (or steal) a cyberdeck before I start doing any real hacking.

Why do you have cyberears and cybereyes? The vast, vast majority of the work you do is going to be while you're unconscious. Ditch those, and use the money to buy combat drones and reconnaissance drones.
After all you don't send an electrician to fix your leaking toilet.

Optical Drones would go with Riggers like Chocolate and Peanut Butter.
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

Yeah, but that's not what he has, and that still doesn't explain the cyberears.

It's something he could do if he wanted to incorporate your advice.

well then not much you can do there ^^

You could push it down to 275.000Y but only with downgrading Control Rig to Rating II. Would mean natural Logic 7 (using 30 of the 40 Karma you spent into Physical Attributes to get Intuition from 5 to 6 get logic to 7 using attribute points, get those back with A Attributes, and to squeeze out 2 extra Karma to get Exceptional Attribute Logic for 12 Karma)
In the end you would have a lot more bound Karma in stats but  lower Dicepool (-1) when rigging. So you could get Control Rig III and Cerebral Booster III later in Game ... use Karma to raise Skills in game, use Nuyen to get Cerebral Booster and Control Rig III. In the (very) long run would mean higher Dicepools.

edit: made a minor adjustment

Where are rhe rules for ECCM? I ask because you can also get that as an autosoft. So maybe it would be possible to have  a vehicle run thay for you instead... if it syiææ serves a function in 6th

Dropping the cyberears and cybereyes frees up ¥21,550... Or rather 10 Karma and ¥1,550.

The cheapest cyberdeck is the Erika MCD-6 at ¥24,750. It's lousy, but it's within stabbing distance of my budget if I move some other things around... Or I can spend the Karma on something likes.

Again, I recommend combat drones and reconnaissance drones. It's a sad fact, but if you don't get them during chargen, you'll either get them after chargen or just sit around doing nothing useful for 95% of any given run.
