Old character from 4th Edition converted to 5th with some changes.
Gabriel Edwards was the former keyboard player for the popular Gothabilly band Crimson Twilight. For years his band never got the break they needed till Gabriel was approached by a reporter interested in doing a piece, not on the band, but him. The reporter ran the story claiming Gabriel was a kind of rare vampire, finding lore about sparkling vampires in some rare books (Most of them having been destroyed.) written before the Awakening.
The gigs started rolling in after that. His band was booked solid for weeks. Gabriel played it up to all it was worth at first, going along with the whole vampire role. His Mytrix Page had millions of likes. He was the poster on all teenage girl AR walls. Then the propositions started coming in. Getting girls was never a problem, but now they begged to be turned into vampires. At first it was fun, than it started getting crazy when he tried denying what he was.. He had to get extra security and bodyguards,. All the attention was on him and now his band mates were starting to resent their star members success. Things were getting worse, Gabriel couldn’t even stand being around girls, he was always suspicious of their motives. The more he denied being a vampire, the more the “Evidence” started showing up. Pictures were posted of him 30 years earlier, were he looked to not have aged a day. Interviews of ex-girlfriends claiming to have always suspected what he was.
After a sold out show in New York, he was kidnapped by a group of Shadowrunners, then taken to rich corporate executive’s teenage daughter. He was chained to a wall. The daughter told him he wouldn’t be let go until he cooperated and made her a vampire. Thank god for his manager, who had connections all over the UCAS, and got another team of Runners to extract Gabriel. The kidnapping only made his band more popular. But even the beefed up security didn't stop the kidnapping attempts. A year later, Gabriel left Crimson Twilight, and went into hiding composing music and doing small jobs for his former Manager. Getting bored of constantly being in hiding, Gabriel started running the Shadows.
