Sammy was on the ground behind some of the equipment boxes they had hauled up.  She had to admit that it was more fun in trids, when people didn't use real bullets.  For some effects they used gel rounds, but even those were special and with a softer gel so they didn't do as much damage.  But now it was time to start helping her teammates.  First however, she would have to help herself, so she started casting, also activating one of her foci.

force 2 increased reflexes (I only have a rating 2 sustaining focus for this and it will give me +1 IP and +1 init).
magic 5 + spellcasting 6 - wounds 2 =9 (9d6.hits(5)=2)

I now have a second IP (which I can take already this turn) and initiative 8 instead of 7

Elves? Must be the guys we did a job against, Sam thinks, then blinks. Wait--they can't be the guys who drugged us. They're clearly not prepared for our group. We need to know more.

Taking a chance, Sam stands up, hands above his head, clearly empty. In Sperethiel and then in English, he calls out, "Stop firing! I surrender!"

The technomancer take a shot at the guy in the skylight, or at least tries to.  He triggers his weapon, but instead of his target feeling the effects of the Stick'n Shock, Fionn does.  He falls to the ground, his ruined weapon clenched in his hands as shocks continue to cause him to convulse.

Between this and the face's odd statement, the foes pause a moment, cautious.
