@Eva Monique takes your wrap and hangs it in a closet that could easily double as a normal person's spare bedroom. Tanya looks to her and says, "Thank you, Monique. Will you please bring the tea to the living room. I think we will be more comfortable there." Monique nods and disappears into the dining room while Tanya motions for you to follow her. As you step down the single step to the living room, your initial vista is of the water right outside the huge window. You can see fish swimming and several lights have been situated on the seafloor, carefully placed so as to illuminate the area near the hotel without blinding the guests. Your second view is the furniture that Tanya has in the room. While tasteful, it just does not resonate perfectly with the room or the spectacular view.
Tanya motions for you to take a seat in one of the large chairs and takes a seat herself in another, arranging the two of you so that a nice but unsatisfactory table is between you. Monique arrives silently and places an elegant silver tea tray on the table. A large pot of tea and another of coffee share the ends, with little bowls of sugar, cream, milk, and lemon wedges in between. Tanya looks at you. "Tea, Marisa? Or perhaps you prefer coffee? And do you take milk, sugar, or lemon?" While she is waiting for you to reply she pours a cup of tea from one of the post and adds a lemon wedge. Monique returns with a small plate of scones and another of small slices of cake, putting them on the table with two small plates. After placing napkins, spoons, and forks near the two of you, the maid disappears.
