Why wasn't the year given an 'important events of the year' listing like it would have, had it been included in Sixth World Almanac?

It just seems like there would have been the perfect place to include one, as SWA includes a major event from the year and then a summary of all major events, the SOTA one would have been Hestaby's address.

I mainly bring this up as there are a few events that occur in 2073 that I would like to have an exact date for (one example being when exactly Sirrurg started attacking Aztlan).

Thanks for any reply that you have.

Because SWA was "published" near the end of 2072.

In other words, the other stories weren't written yet.

If I understand correctly, what chinlamp was suggesting was to have a timeline of year 2073 next to the Hestaby speech in SOTA:2073, simply following the format used in Sixth World Almanac.

That wasn't what I was asking, what I asked was why wasn't 2073 summed up in SOTA 2073 ala Sixth World Almanac.

Probably didn't word it right to make it clear.

Wow, just as I was typing this Nath said exactly this.

No, according to this thread, SotA:2073 was written at the "end of 2073" - which means we are now into 2074 in the game-world.

The SR game takes place, officially, 62 years from today.

So, was there a reason for this that anyone is aware of?

Or, failing that, is there a timeline of major events for 2073 somewhere else?

I am sure someone will answer that faster than I can.  I am still in the midst of reading through some of the latest books and adventures and working out timeline clues.  More as I know it, however.
