Welcome to all! Look around, ask questions, poke the Canadians. Just be careful of the dragon sipping espresso in the back...

Hey guys,
coming in from Holland, I've recently started playing SR again. Last time was years ago with 2nd ed.
Have played other things like D&D, WoD and Star Wars, but we wanted to take another crack at this. Since it is so cool  8)

Have browsed the forum a bit looking for tips and rule interpretations, and it seems like a good node to subscribe to. Thanks for all the contributions. Cheers.

Hello all.

Lurker since last year, when a few friends and I picked up SR4A after burning out on a couple of other systems.  Turns out if you make an account and don't bother posting anything for six months, it'll vanish into the astral.

Can't thank you folks enough for threads like BP Character Generation: the Math You Really Should Know.

Welcome Equinox & BlueTroll!

Equinox, you wouldn't happen to be related to "Equinox, Defender of the Horde" by any chance?

Alas, no sir.  He's the runner name for my first SR character; a college-educated mage whose master dumps him off in Seattle with an ominously cryptic note, and a whole library on chips of terrible great Nick Cage movies from the '80s.

Hello everyone!

I've just recently gotten into Shadowrun 4e through a play-by-post opportunity on a D&D themed, and came across this forum in a search for a larger roleplaying community for this game specifically. I find it to be a very interesting and fulfilling gaming system to play with (even though most of my experience is limited to chargen). Eventually I hope to be able to find enough people in my area to play in person, but for now forum roleplaying is what I'm really looking for.

Hey everyone!

I haven't played Shadowrun since high school. But it was always my favorite Pen&Paper RPG.
A few years ago I played Firefly & Forgotten Realms, but that group faded out quickly and have since not had anyone to play any games with.
I've been mostly playing online, WOW things like that. Then this past year I moved from Utah to Virginia. And my desire to play some RPG's has
finally gotten me to order some 4th Shadowrun stuff, including the Toolkit. I hope this will help me as I learn to be a GM. I have my wife and kids
wanting to try to learn how to play so it should be good fun!

I found this site and thought GREAT! I can meet like minded people, learn from all the wealth of wisdom. And just have a good forum to browse.

So Hello,  I hope to learn fast and be able to add thoughts as I relearn the world of Shadowrun,  its been a long time.

Great, now it's become such a running joke a computer can be programmed for it.

Don't worry CanRay. Just focus on all those Shadowrun games you get to play in. That'll help ease the pain.

Don't worry; we're putting together a counter-simulation so that a computer can randomize your griping responses, too.

That shouldn't be too hard... best estimate, no more than 200 variations, but only a core of six randomised decision points... its doable.

Canray's random humerous one-liner thread hyjacks?  Now those are hard to predict.
