Recharge Potency has you make a Spellcasting test vs. the preparation's Force. What happens when you make a preparation with this spell and use it to recharge another preparation?

Normal rules as for any spell you use in alchemy.

That said: You could use that time and energy to just create a new preparation of the original spell.
