Title: Gun H(e)aven 2 Errata proposal
Post by: Carmody on <09-18-12/1101:02>
Hi Folks,
I am currently translating Gun H(e)aven 2 in french, which forces me to look into details. Here is the list of issues we spotted in Gun H(e)aven 2. Not all of them are new issues, many were already reported in various threads of this forum (thanks to the posters by the way). And yes, some of them are nitpicking :)

Terracota Arms Caravan:
It is equipped with an Imaging Sight, I assume the author meant an Imaging Scope.

Terracotta Arms Pup:
It is depicted as an automatic in the description but only has the SS firing mode, shall it be replaced by SA?

Terracotta Arms AM-47:
The description states that it is intended for a metahuman operator, but it does not have Metahuman Customization upgrade. I assume this is a mistake and it shall be added.
It has the High-Powered Chambering mod but no note stating that High-Power Chambering is already figured into the stats. Is the +2DV / -1AP already factored in ?
    - If it is not factored, then the damages would become 11P/-4, which is huge
    - If it is factored, then the “base damage without the HP rounds” would be 7P/-2 which would be the less efficient sniper rifle in game, which would be surprising for a weapon that is depicted as being massive, a monster, weights more than a Vindicator minigun.
The description states that it uses a drum magazine, but the statistics indicate (c). I assume it shall be replaced by (d).

Nemesis Arms Praetorian:
The description and the shadowtalks explain that this weapon has been done on request and that it is really impressive. Therefore I assume it shall have custom look 1 as standard upgrade, as it fits so well the descrption and goal of this upgrade.

Shiawase Heavy Tactical:
It has the High-Powered Chambering mod but no note stating that High-Power Chambering is already figured into the stats. Given its statisitcs, I assume it is already factored in.

Shiawase Arms Police Response:
It is equipped with an Imaging Scope (rating 1) but the Imaging Scope has rating. Iassume the rating 1 shall be replaced by Vision Enhancement rating 1?

Shiawase Arms Tactical Model 69:
All integrated commlink in Gun H(e)aven have the following note: The Tachi is an internal component that cannot function if it is removed from the rifle, which is not the case of the Fatal Light. I assume it shall be added.

Onotari Arms Room Sweeper:
It is equipped with electric firing which does not exist. I assume it means electronic firing.

Onotari Arms Sierra Libra:
It is equipped with a Folding Stock and a Foregrip and its recoil compensation value is 1(3). I assume it means that it has 1 internal point of recoil compensation and 2 optional points (1 for the Foregrip and 1 optional for the Folding Stock).
However, all sporting riffle have a (non folding) stock which does not give them any recoil compensation modification so I do not understand why this folding stock should give a bonus. It should just give a penalty if not used, making the RC 0(2).
One of the shadowtalkers is named Kat o’ Nine Tails. I assume it is Kat o’ Nine Tales.

Onotari Arms Rhino Hunter:
It is equipped with an Imaging Scope (rating 1, magnification) but neither the Imaging Scope, nor the magnification has rating. Shall the rating be ignored or shall rating 1 be replaced by Vision Enhancement rating 1 ?
Furthermore, the note says that High-Power Chambering is already figured into the stats whereas it should be High-Power Rounds are already figured into the stats as the bonus is given by the ammo, not the weapon modification.

JP-K49:
Its recoil reduction value is 1(2) whereas it has no optional recoil reduction mechanism (such as a folding stock). As the description indicates that it has several recoil reduction features I assume that its CR is indeed 2.

L-493:
It is equipped with a Imaging Sight (Rating 1, Image Link), as an Imaging Sight has no rating and given the description, I assume it shall be replaced by Imaging Sight (Vision Enhancement rating 1, Image Link).
One of the shadowtalkers is named Kat o’ Nine Tails. I assume it is Kat o’ Nine Tales.

Onotari Urban Hunter:
It is equipped with Heavy Barrel and Electronic Firing providing a total of 2 points of recoil compensation instead of 1 as listed.
The note says that High-Power Chambering is already figured into the stats whereas it should be High-Power Rounds are already figured into the stats as the bonus is given by the ammo, not the weapon modification.
In its shadowtalk, Black Mamba states “You should try this with anti-vehicle rounds” but having the High-Power Chambering modification this weapon is not capable of firing anti-vehicle rounds. This being only fluff I guess this is OK, however.
Last, all Onotari Arms models are branded as Onotari Arms XXX whereas the Urban Hunter is the only one listed as Onotari Urban Hunter. I assume the Arms has been forgotten and shall be added.

Cavalier Arms Sheriff:
The note says that High-Power Chambering is already figured into the stats whereas it should be High-Power Rounds are already figured into the stats as the bonus is given by the ammo, not the weapon modification.

Barrens Special:
It is clearly indicated in the description that this weapon is illegal (no RFID...) but the availability is R. How can you get a permit for a weapon even the manufacturer is not allowed to produce? I assume its availability is 2F.

Nice post Carmody, if I ever manage to get some people together and plat some SR I will definitely use this errata.

I think I have found a inconsistently with the Krime Cannon. The posters on Jackpoint seem to be saying that the Krime Cannon has a removable magazine.

"The magazine capacity is limited, but the people that carry it tend to be able
to carry enough magazines that it isn't an issue..."
Fianchetto GH 2 p55

But the stat block of the weapon has 6(M).

It seems to me that  6(M) should be replaced with 6(C)
