Is it just my lack of corporate expertise but is Lufthansa owned by two corps?

Pg. 148 Saeder-Krupp Notable subsidiaries. Lufthansa Group

Pg. 202 Maersk. Major subsidiaries. Lufthansa AG
Many years in the shadows and I still keep coming back for more.

That could be a mistake or maybe Maersk bough Lufthansa AG form Lufthansa Group, as the former does sound like subsidiary of the latter.

Mistake most likely. According to established German material, Lufthansa should be S-K. Used to belong to IFMU, and when they faltered S-K snatched up most of it. IIRC.

It could easily be both, if you look at the American defense industry, portions of companies are bought up all the time by different corps.

Portions of Westinghouse, variously called "Westinghouse Electric Company", "Westinghouse Electric Corporation", "Westinghouse", etc, are owned by CBS, BNFL, Northrop Grumman, Toshiba, Invensys, I could go on all day like this. (sources: www.wikipedia.org, http://www.northropgrumman.com/heritage/index.html) I'm honestly probably missing a few of the current owners of a Westinghouse company.

The fact that one's "Lufthansa Group" and the other is "Lufthansa AG" further suggests this interpretation, where "Group" is the holding company, and AG would have been one of the wholly owned subsidiary.

EDIT:
That Northrop Grumman link is actually probably a pretty good show of just how a megacorp forms and grows from real life. I wouldn't be surprised if the other big boys have similar pages.

Here's the list  put together some time ago. I forgot to post it there back then.

- page 70 : anonymous posting.
- page 78 : "minor shareholders" are listed as "major shareholders".
- page 78 : Post says Yamatetsu joined the PPG around 2064. Yamatetsu was a founding member of the PPG in 2059, according to Blood in the Boardroom, page 72.
- page 87 and 152 : Evo position in the Middle East oil exploitation on page 87 doesn't seem consistent with S-K position as described on page 152, as well as Corporate Download, pages 86-87 Target: Wastelands, pages 37-38, and Shadows of Asia, pages 15, 99, 103, 105

- page 148, 202 203, 206 and 207 : Lufthansa is an S-K subsidiary on page 148, a Maersk subsidiary on pages 202 to 207
- page 150 : Eminence grise.
- page 168 : Shiawase doesn't match the real definition of a keiretsu (that is, a group of companies with mutual shareholding, without a top company).

- page 202 : Tyr and Sternchutz are not listed under parent company Maersk and FBA, while all the other corps are (Ares for KE, and so on).

- page 211, 213 and 214 : Herstal is listed as a major division on page 211, but the text refers to Fabrique Nationale on page 213 and 214. This is the same company, "Fabrique Nationale de Herstal" or FN Herstal.

- page 130 : "His network of contacts is rumored to rival those of jet-set icon Norman Spinrad or the French noble families."
Norman Spinrad is an existing sci-fi author. The jet-set icon in Shadowrun is more like to be Johnny Spinrad, mentioned in Dragons of the Sixth World, page 106, SOTA:2064, page 151, and Corporate Guide, page 150 and 159.

page 35: CD/Common Denominator is owned by Horizon, not Evo

page 65: in 2065 Horizon snapped up a seat on the Corporate Court not the (presumably Pueblo) Corporate Council.

page 95: Sunshine works for KSAF, not KSFA

Possible errata, possible that it just needs clarification: The section on Monobe says that Weapons World is a subsidiary of theirs, but many sources (Corporate Download, Arsenal) previous to Corporate Guide have stated Ares owns Weapons World.

Edited: changed last item due to new information presented below

Not all. Weapons World was a Monobe subsidiary by 2054 in Corporate Shadowfiles. Then, it was an Ares Macrotechnology subsidiary by 2061 in Corporate Download.

Wrong According to established German material (german Runner Havens and other) Lufthansa was indipendent until Crash 2.0. Afterwards it was integrated into Maersk. S-K has its own airline (Old World Airways, german Corporate Enclaves), so it won't  need the Lufthansa. Also that the DeMeKo and the Treuhand is part of S-K is wrong. S-K just ons some of the stack, but not the hole coproration, and hey are not their subsidiaries.

So it's a mistake in the English Version.
