You can get concealable holsters, but can you get concealable scabbards/sheaths?

RAW? No. Not yet, anyway, not as an accessory, because Concealable Holster specifically only covers

pistols (including machine pistols) and tasers

It would be up to a GM to decide if you can get a concealed scabbard for your sword.

Or knife (which is a common concealed weapon)

Honestly, I would allow anything pistol-sized or smaller to qualify for a concealed holster. I wouldn't allow mixing of items, so a holster for a pistol wouldn't work for a knife, and vice versa. But that's all house rules until we get the combat/gear-porn supplement.

On a personal note, I would agree with Hephaestus; as a GM, I would absolutely allow you to buy a concealed holster for a knife, or indeed any other pistol sized weapon, if you wanted to. Heck, I'd even just double or triple the price for a holster for a sword. Shadowrun has all kinds of gimmicky tech to make this happen, and previous editions even had chameleon coating you could apply to a rifle sized weapon to make it (almost) invisible.

I would not be surprised if this is an item that makes an appearance in future publications.

...wouldn't a concealable scabbard be more like a swordcane?

In past editions, a sword cane is a separate weapon. I can't recall off the top of my head if previous editions specifically had concealable holsters for swords, but I think they did.

IIRC, I think there was also an entry for a ribbon sword that could be concealed as a belt. A great way surprise someone, coming out of left field with a bendy sword and your pants down.

Um, no.

they DID have concealable holsters for knives, but they specifically called out that swords could NOT use a concealable scabbard.

And REALLY think about it.... how is a 36 inch long tube going to help you hide you 50 inch long sword?!?! by making it smaller? by making it thinner? by making your 4 foot long sword look like an antenna sticking out of your ass? or out of your shoulder?

Now, the vennitrox (sp?) memory blade... THAT could be hidden! (that's the "ribbon" sword Hepaestus is talking about.) it specifically calls out that it can be worn like a belt and then pulled out and "hardened" into a real blade with the push of a button. However, it was made with nano tech.. and has not come back since 4e. IT seems to be a casualty of the nano meltdown :(

I might have been thinking of chameleon coating, which used to be a thing. I haven't played 4th Edition in a good 6-7 years, and my memory ain't what it used to be.

yea, the chameleon coating was a thing, and the way to go to "hide" your sword. (well, make it less noticeable).

Interesting to see if chameleon coating comes back after they basically removed it from 5e... (even it it was messily done)
