I'm going to miss all the weird, absurd, and niche entertainments I enjoy.  My noise rock, insane Asian horror/sci-fi movies, eccentric comics, and all that other low-budget, low-profit, small market stuff that will get burned and thrown away in the name of the lowest common denominator and almighty Nuyen.

Mmmm... Pumpkin cheesecake (take the best thing from pumpkin pies and cheesecake and mix).

Strawberry Swirl Chocolate-Sunday cheesecake. My own cheesecake resp, add strawberries (or pie topping), mix exactly three times, then add the "hat", a thick layer of milk chocolate on top. Or if Im feelin a bit nutty, add dark chocolate and milk chocolate with a spriknling of nuts . Serve as a whole pie on grahm cracker crust, as tart-"sundays", or a new fav: use grahm crackers to dip.

That sounds pretty good. This girl I dated a few years back.. she had a secret family cheesecake recipe that was like heroin. Even if you couldn't eat any more of it you still wished you could.

Oh, and if you ever go to Oregon Country Fair you should make sure to try Dana's Famous Cheesecake. Suuuper good.

Well it'll go down one of two ways, if the first happens I will lack nothing for I will be one of the evil overlords. The second I will miss personal hygene the most, because I will have withdrawn from society and will be in the woods living off the land, and making random (but not all) travellers disappear because I killed them for their stuff. I will still have some human contact because I will trade the loot for goods I need.

Back on topic:

It's kinda weird. The last few years since my divorce, I've been cooking and baking a lot more (hey, it's cheaper and better tasting). I have a great bread recipe memorized that is minimal prep and only needs 5 ingredients (4 if you make it unleavened). If the big whimper happens, I can see myself setting up an inn/tradepost.

So, whatever you guys haul in, stop by and I'll get your goods. ;)

Don't forget rats! You can always get a good rat-burger.

Of course, if we go the route of Devil & Demon rats, it might not be worth the trouble... ;)

I kid you not; I will miss my Wife's cooking. We get fresh fruits and veggies every week from a local farm delivered to our door step. And she takes that and creates the most amazing dishes from off the top of her head. We have cut out allot of meat, but no flavor. In the last year I have had two surgeries and because of the type of food Kat cooks I have lost 60 pounds. We still order Pizza and Chinese on occasion but man I am living the dream life almost every night because of her!

Even cooler is I can walk for the first time without aids and pain in almost a two years, so now I can really get back into shape 

So what are you going to miss once we are all living in a corporate controlled more-or-less police state? I mean besides your basic human rights.

Given the basic corporate and commercial logic BEHIND designing habitats and worker's lifestyles in that way, I would say we wouldn't miss ANYthing.

The basic Neo-Anarchist pride of freedom is BS when you look at it: on the one hand there are people living a happy life, working, being cared for, enjoying safety, good nutrition, have purpose in life and take pride in being parter of a greater good, on the other hand you have backstabbing, desease-ridden vermin fighting over scrabs and sleeping in their own pee who take pride in being "free", whatever the hell that means.

As Facebook has shown: Most people see no problem with being monitored, or sharing their data with "whoever". Most would even gladly trade the "liberty" to receive penis-enlargement spam with the "based on your data" advertisment invites to the next betaphase of Trog of War VII on their Sim Station (or in our case, we would rather get mails that inform us about the newest SR release than mails that inform us about we we can get VIAGRA CHEAP!!!!!!!).

Corp Guide has made a good point about the happy corporate citizen (it would have been made even clearer by an in-game recruitment advertisment of a megacorp, with pictures showing cool appartments, your new car, the playground for the kids, the happy family together etc.). I think every corporation worth their nuyen will not encamp their citizens in cubicles and letting them stack-sleep in a coffin concentration camp – they will design your working and living environment so that you are happy and productive.

And humans BTW are more happy if they ARE productive.
That's why "nothing to do" is not a phrase that implies happiness and fulfillment.
