Petting Zoos in Shadowrun are very, very lethal.  Also, Turbo turned her Tripchip while in traffic, so they were already away from wherever this happened.  Good guess, however.

Okay, a more serious answer they had already handed off the sheep to the Johnson, but the wronged party caught up with them and demanded restitution.
