And he's not nearly as cute in that sort of outfit.

Sorry. I only share the pics of me in skin-tight spandex with my special friends... :)
The only ones I can think of off hand...
From Dragon*Con this year:

ANd then there's me. Here's a select few. You've been warned. (Sadly, I don't have any really good pics that show the Dragon "tattoo" i had last year). I have a lot more pics (Plus a few of various folks in costume at the Shadowrun Scramble Live Action game) on my Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/#!/Bulldrek?sk=photos)

Nice Bull here is something for each of you. Do you guys remember the pics for the ares predator well...
-
Yup. Look at the gun I have in the top pic, and the gun Caine_Hazen has in the second to last one ;)
-
That looks like a Beretta 92 with a mean looking front end gas vent. Soooo...I will bite where did you get it from?
-
Looks alot like the hopup bb gun I had when I was a kid, was a replica robocop gun
-
I didn't know there was a Shining Force 3! I loved that game series!

The Ares Predator is basically the RoboCop Auto-9, only without the burst-fire.

What Karma said. It's the Robocop gun, which is based loosely on the design of a real gun (I assume the one you mention, but I'm pressed for time so can;t look it up right now).
Anyways, the Caine_Hazen has is a cheap Airsoft gun. He got it for like $10 on eBay. They're not that much more new (and they are cheap, his broke pretty fast, but since it's mainly an SR prop anyways, not that big a deal).
Bull
-
Yup, a cheap knockoff EBB airsoft 93r with "extended counterweight". I'll see if I can find the box when I get home let you all know exactly what brand and model number. I remember it was like 15$ with shipping when I picked it up.
I've got all sorts of new toys for this year's Scarmble though
-
It is a cool looking prop...no doubt about it!
The young lady first mentioned in this thread certainly has a love of cos play...and...she does it VERY well. And that is all that I have to say about that!

Hey guys (and gals?). I caught the forum linking to my website (http://www.ginnymcqueen.com). Thanks for all the kind words! I tried to get the new Shadowrun books to do what they did back in the day where they accepted photo stuff for their source stuff, but it seems they don't seem to have a place for it anymore. And I haven't been able to play in years since I moved and have no fellow geeks to play with. But I still love Shadowrun and hope to get back into it again one day! <3!

Great shots btw wouldn't mind seeing more

Are you going to be at GenCon? There's a lot of cosplayers there, and Catalyst has a huge showing at the 'con as well. Definitely a great way to meet new players and get some runs in.

Bull: Ima cosplay on my next run! I have a keyboard and where'd you get those tusks?
-
Kernal Made them from a halloween mask.
http://www.halloweenasylum.com/troll-latex-appliance.aspx
(http://www.halloweenasylum.com/ProductImages/rubi-68703.jpg)
I the lower jaw and mouth pieces actually fit over a person's jaw. I cut the teeth and tusks apart and superglued them onto a set of cheap rubber vampire fangs. Pretty quick & dirty job originally, but they've held up for like 8 or 9 years now :)
I need to get around to buying a second mask at some point though, as a backup in case something happens to these ones.
Bull
-
Hmmm I wonder if there is way to do it without the mask....
-
Ginny: Nice SR costume.
AFAIK, we generally don't use live photo's anymore for the books, but still, if you haven't I'd say drop Brent Evans, CGL's current art director, a line. Even if we don't use photo's directly, maybe he can hook you up with one or two of our artists for a reference model or something. I know several of our artists do that.
Also, if you end up at Origins or Gen Con this year, let us know. A bunch of us do costumes one or two days, and we also do a SHadowrun LARP event called the Shadowrun Scramble each year :)

Every year I end up having to go to another convention at the same time as GenCon. One of these times I'll make it there. I usually can only go to conventions I'm invited to as a guest (except Dragon*con, my vacation convention). But I'll find a way there someday!
-
I've had that problem, but in reverse. I usually work Gen COn and Origins, and there are always a pile of other cons I'd love to go to around the same time.

New avatar. Thanks, Morg.
-
I like the Avatar change Gun Nut
-
I always like to use femmes with firearms as an avatar. They both fit my handle and are awesome to look upon.
-
But then it looks like you are me posting. That's confusing! :o
-
Totally made a datajack!
-
But then it looks like you are me posting. That's confusing! :o
Well, you'll just have to get another avatar up. But if you pull from the same shoot, I'm going to start calling you twins... ;D
-
A wise man once said "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery"
I have been checking all over the place and I just cant find anyone that will do SR4 weapon Props. I really wish I could Price out a life sized model of the Panther Assault cannon

Hey um what is that banner over your signature? And where can I get one?
-

I find it very difficult to believe that anyone would confuse the two of us. :)
On the plus side, if this gets you to do some more awesome Shadowrun style shoots, then we all win!

My friends and I did a shadowrun cosplay for NYC COMIC CON if anyone is interested in seeing the few pics I've managed to collect.

Nicely done!
-
A friend of mine had an idea for a band like that: a minotaur on drums, a satyr on lead vocal and guitar, a goblin on keyboards, and just a guy on bass.

My Girlfriend and I did a SR3 Decker and Street Sam for NorWesCon in WA last year:

This was from a few years ago. Since this was for a Anime convention every one kept asking what I was sposed to be. The thing around my neck is a fake SIN for the Denver free states made out of old laptop wireless card and wrapped in tape. Last year I was lazy and just wore a suit, tie with a over coat and a sticker that read "hello" my name is Mr Johnson. I also had a briefcase that read "pay data" on it nothing original but meh. I almost want to bust it back out next year just for the hell of it though the gas mask was very hot.

Shadowrun can so easily come off as generic cyberpunk that you have to add things to make it recognizable, but it needs to be subtle to not detract from the costume. That's why we just did the iconic S on our jackets, it looks like it could be a gang sign or a team logo.
The fake SIN is a great idea too, and I may just borrow the idea. I work in IT so I have a ton of old computer parts around.
-
Where did you get those jackets? I want one.
-
Mine is a second-hand trench coat with the sleeves cut off and the holes hemmed.
The Decker's jacket is a modification of Butterick pattern B5232 (http://butterick.mccall.com/b5232-products-7494.php) (she made her whole outfit from scratch except the corset).
I hand painted the Shadowrun insignia on the backs.
In case anyone is curious:
The assault rifle is a Nerf Stampede ECS-50
The Fairlight Excalibur is an old iMac keyboard
The cyberarm is literally painted on
I wish I had thought to take pictures throughout the process. These were fun costumes.

If I ever bust out the costume again, I may have to attempt to put a SR logo on my coat or at least somewhere on my armor.
