Thomas Roxburough brain is preserved in  a jar and he can use the Matrix to communicate.

In 2070+ they can clone whole bodies.

Why is is brain still in a jar?
Technically, Roxy is a mass of organic fluid in a tank that somehow manages to keep sentient.

As for why he's still in the tank? Well, Roxy boy has always been something of a cutthroat corporate type. Back in the days when the megas openly went toe to toe with eachother (rather than proxy fights like Desert Wars), Roxy was responsible for unleashing a nasty little virus against another corporation as a test run for knocking out a rival. Unfortunately for everyone, that virus escaped into the Matrix, and started burning everything to the ground. We call that the first Crash, by the way. Now, during the Crash, the Echo Mirage team went up against the Virus, and got their asses handed to them, before they figured out how to fight it. One of the fatalities was a hacker named Alice Haeffner. She became Alice of Wonderland, the first e-ghost in the Matrix, alongside Mirage, the first AI. And Alice decided to carry a very, very personal grudge against Roxy. So any time he gets close to figuring out a way out of the tank (or any other way to improve his life) Alice goes all Jabberwocky on it.

Now, no one's seen Alice since Jormungand rolled through, but that doesn't mean she isn't around somewhere, ready to keep Roxy in his tank (at least until she can think of something worse to do to him).

Not sure, really. We're talking events that were already part of the shadowlore back in 2nd and 3rd edition. Might even have started in some of the 1e books.

Clockwork Asylum. Though, there is a degree of unreliable narrator at play like in every Shadowrun everything, so not everything may be 100% true.

Aztlan.

As of Corporate Guide, he left Aztechnology and is now the president and majority shareholder of Universal Omnitech. UO's not been doing super lately, but it may have found a reprieve through cooperation or merger with some other AAs.

That was going to be my second question. What I recall was that UO had pretty big holdings in the Czech RP, so, they can't be doing too bad.

They took some bad hits during Shiawase's failed hostile takeover, and their longstanding relationship with Aztechnology has all but ended, which wouldn't be so bad if ...

It's bad.

You mentioned UO and Aztechnology in the same post. Of COURSE it is bad! That's like talking about Ares and Chicago in the same sentence.

Well, also because UO is based in Vancouver and someone is writing the corporations chapter of the Seattle Sprawl box set.

What are the UCAS laws for running for Prez? If they are the same as the USA, Arnie could NEVER be Prez as he is an immergant, and they can't run for the oval office.

(Hence why all the anti-Obamaites keep wailing about his 'faked' birth certificate...)
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.

From the movies in the 80s and on that joked about former Prez Arnie, it was always told how they had passed an amendment to allow Arnie to run.

The premise of the restriction was to avoid possible outside powers coming to lead the country directly.

However Arnie did run (unsuccessfully) for Prez previously in the SR universe (passing mention in Universal Brotherhood) so it is possible such an amendment was passed.

If not this could be a good job to toss to Horizon to see how they could spin a campaign to get such an amendment passed.

One idea might be that when he leonized he was in essence 'reborn' since he loved his adopted country so much as to do it all over again or something similarly sugary along with a lot of money thrown at the right politicians to get a 'second life' birth certificate.

Edit: Coincidentally in '52 the reigning pit fighter on the NAN fight circuit went by the name 'Conan the Republican' and looked very much like a young Arnie.
(Native American Nations part 1 pg 134)
The timing would have been about right for a leonized Arnie to get back on his feet and put the body through its paces.

So who knows......

Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

Dunkelzahn had an Act of Congress passed that allowed him to run for President, even though he kept residence outside of the UCAS.

The natural-born citizen requirement was eliminated. This is how Daviar was allows to become Vice President. It didn't really matter to Dunkelzahn because realistically his life predated the UCAS and U.S. and he did awaken from his lair within the U.S.

The UCAS Constitution permits non-metahumans to be granted citizenship through an Act of Congress. And he did move his legal residence to the UCAS (the Georgetown mansion in DeeCee).

Kind of like Sean Connery's character Ramirez in Highlander 2: The WTFing, when he came back from the dead and one of his first stops was at Scotland's Oldest Gentlemen's Shop because he was Scotland's Oldest Gentleman.

One of the few memorable lines in a film best left forgotten.
