I rebuilt the character to be based on stats rather than cyberlimbs (this is a complete build with all 400 BP spent and less than 600¥ available). Though he lost the 'Hawk Eye' quality as well as one point in 'Firefight' and has a slightly smaller physical damage pool, he gained a point of armor and the 'Reakt' bioware. Most of capabilities end up quite similar, though he has better overall ability scores and thus doesn't have to juggle multiple dice numbers for actions with different parts of the body.

Overall, I think it looks quite solid, but comments are still quite welcome.

Taking Restricted Gear for 2nd-hand ware is making a serious power now for power later sacrifice. Are you sure you want to do that? In the long run you would be much better off spending those 15 quality BP on Martial Arts, getting rating 2 secondhand Muscle Toner/Augmentation, and making your Wired Reflexes not alphaware.

You can do a lot better than the Praetorian. The mods it comes with are not actually that great - you would do better taking a higher-quality base gun and modding it to have a blade.

For example, Ruger Thunderbolt, Stock Accessory, and with 11 strength you get +2 RC for free, putting you at 5 which is what you need. You can attach a Flick Bayonet [Barrel Accessory], although it is 15R it isn't very expensive. Smartlinks are also accessories. Melee hardening is cheap and only one slot. As a result, you get a gun that is just as good in melee and significantly better at shooting people.

Clinch is a super bad manuever.

Multi-strike is not as awful as Clinch, but it's still pretty bad. Using Two-Weapon Style is almost always more helpful than splitting your pool for two melee attacks, and if you are hitting by a large margin, Called Shot is almost always better for offense anyways.

Finishing Blow, Riposte, and Full Offense are all more useful manuevers if you really want as many as possible.

Cool. I'll look at those changes when I get home tonight.

Any suggestions for good applicable Martial Arts advantages for this character? I'm not sure what the official rule is, but we've decided amongst the group that stacking multiple of the same advantage from different styles (such as "+1 DV with blades" from both Arnis and Sangri <sic>) is cheese and not allowed in our campaigns.

The official rule is it caps at +3 DV.

Firefight explicitly allows you to take up to 2 levels of the reducing the penalty for attacking in melee range. I would take a second level of that.

Can you use Way of the Samurai, actually? If you can't get more +Blades DV, I would spend 10 bp on a Way.
