[Jackleg Rooster]

A character i drew up for my wife for an upcoming game with friends. Her requests were: A tall elf technomancer. black elf mother and japanese human father. and she must be VERY PRETTY. She doesn't care about combat skills and even less about rigging, so that mean a hacking only techno with some sprite friends.

The idea is that she engages as the face and stealth hacks with her brain while charming people with her looks.

Anyway, here's what I've got so far.

Looks mostly fine to me. I would want a bit more compiling, but the only thing I can see that you could really cut for that would be a point of Intuition and Willpower.

That's easy, cut Edge down to 3, and there's 5 more points for skills right there.

Assuming reasonable edge refresh rates, 5 edge is totally worth it and is more important than the other things you could cut. Assuming a "show me on the doll where the GM touched you" experience like All4BigGuns has had with edge, go down to a 1.

The suggestion was based more on the idea that it's better to spend points on something that will help you all the time rather than on something that runs out, and thus gets to where you have no benefit.

However, it has been repeatedly proven in research studies that there's a strong positive correlation between a person's physical attractiveness and their ability to manipulate others. Beautiful people have an easy time getting their way and are more easily forgiven their faults, while ugly people have to work twice as hard to catch an even.

Physical appearance has a very real effect on our ability to influence others, regardless of what anyone might try to tell you otherwise. Saying that high Charisma is independent from attractiveness is like saying that high Strength is independent from having big muscles.

And that's backed up in the rules, too. All the Metatypes and NMS with boosted Charisma are all described as exceptionally pretty compared to humans, or otherwise attractively exotic, while the ones with CHA penalties are either described as unattractive compared to baseline humans or exotic and strange in a way that's not especially "pretty".

True but in this case they go hand in hand. Of course as her fade stat the charisma is useful but it wasn't the only example of her prettiest. She wanted tall and slender with elven cheek bones and an African heritage so wakyambi fits beautifully. Also though she wanted the character based off of Akasha  from Anne Rice's vampire chronicles. Her vampires are described as monstrously beautiful. That's where glamorous and bad vibe both fit in. Extravagant eyes and skin pigmentation vo with that as well. With the holo suit allowing her to play pretty shadowrun dress-up to suit the job, you have a character whose beauty only starts with charisma 7.

Plus wakyambi get celerity for running away when the shit hits the fan.

It's not wrong what you're saing, but neither is it exclusive.
I can always make a char with Cha 1 and decide he's a very attractive person. He's just also a very shy wallflower with no self-confidence.

Aug 61, Biosculpting says being beautiful can have a positive social effect, giving you a +2 modifier (also in the core book). It doesn't increase your Cha, because it's not brain washing.

Data Search is in Electronics. It's something you can cut (you would probably want to go down to just Computer and Software separately), but the drawback is finding pay.data when you are inside a node is a Browse check and it might sometimes be a nuisance to need to drag a sprite in (eg, if you are trying to hide). I'd cut it if you were really hard up on points, but I don't think you're there yet.
