Thanks for posting your characters =)

However I have noticed that your bladedancer has Muscle Toner – Rating 4 & Muscle Augmentation – Rating 4. Both these augmentations at R4 would have availability of 20. Since the cost you listed for them (64,000 and 62,000) is for R2 and seeing that the increase they give is +2, that must be a typo.

I thought you'd want to know =)

In practice you get to roll Electronic Warfare instead of Perception when using sensors (ie. drone recon) and you can use it to gain additional Noise Reduction (to counter hostile jamming or background noise). You also could use it to decrypt communications and to operate bugs, wiretaps etc (at least according to the description it's a full SIGINT skill).

Just about anything reasonable, and yeah any Negatives should probably be shown.

Mechanical Notes:  Cyberdeck is built into the Cyberarm and the Pistol can fit in the Smuggling Compartment.  Essentially anyplace without a decent Cyberware Scanner you can walk into fully equipped and ready to go.  And if they only have one decent Cyberware Scanner you can likely hack past that. 

Use Electronic Warfare through the Sensors in place of Perception per p. 445 of the Basic book under Sensors.  Use the drones for everything you can, think of them as disposable.

You're a paper tiger in combat, let others draw fire.  Get into cover, and focus on finishing off wounded targets.  7 Edge so don't be shy about spending it.

Suggested advancements, likely you're going to spend karma upping some of your low stats, Charisma, then Strength.  But pick up one or two Logic based skills after every run until you have them all at one.  With Jack of All Trades a new skill costs one Karma and with Logic of 8, you can buy two hits right out of the gate.  Handy for Armorer, Demolitions, and other niche unopposed skills.  If your GM lets you work for the people to convert Karma to Nuyen, go ahead and start right away.  Until the rent is due all you need is booze, bullets, and bandages.  Eventually you'll want to pick up an Agent Rating 6, but it's not critical.

Mechanical notes: This is a basic pet class technomancer.  aka Petnomancer.  Your main needs are a decent quality Fake SIN and a couple days of downtime to Register Machine Sprites.  You can either start Submerging ASAP or flesh out a few skills first, but this is about as balanced of a start as a Technomancer gets.   

You're reliant on Drugs for initiative boosts so read those carefully so you know when you have to take them.  To top it off you're squishy and slow, so keep your head down and send your Machine Sprites to buff the more Combat capable characters in your team.  Personally as soon as I've got a spare Machine Sprite I'd park it in the Sensor Array and leave it on overwatch.  Otherwise use your own Electronic Warfare skill as Perception via the Sensor.

Mechanical notes, you're just a touch slower than some Street Samurai, but you'll be fine.  Your immediate needs are Transportation, good fake SIN, and I'd recommend a Combat Knife for concealable back up as well.  You're going to be putting Karma into rounding out your skills.  Consider picking up Jack of All Trades Quality with the 5 Karma this character still has left over. 

Perfect Time quality and Gear Access from the Ares Victory Armor mean you can drop a weapon, draw a weapon and still have two simple or a complex action left over.  Essentially it is so you can drop whatever gun you're using and pull a melee weapon and still attack in the same action pass.  If you don't feel like futtzying with that, or you only have the Basic Book swap for Ambidexterity and a Combat Knife and get your 40k on with a pistol and knife in close combat.

Mechanical notes:  Sorta complex to build, but easy to play.  7 Edge plus Revels in Murder means you spend Edge on each attack roll.  Your Perception skill is Hardwired so you can't Edge on that one, but otherwise you should feel confident in Edging on any important roll.  You're going to be spending Karma on skills, skills and more skills to flesh out your capabilities.  Again if your GM lets you work for the people to convert Nuyen to Karma go ahead and take advantage of that as you're pretty well set up and just need to cover operating costs.

You've got 4 Karma left at chargen too, so if you've got any skills you feel are a "must have" from the start you can grab them.   Also note, you've got a sweet ride, feel free to pick up your less economically gifted Chummmers.

Usually 1 dump stat.  Decker has two.  My thoughts are if someone has a table with a Stat tax, and 1's aren't allowed it's fairly easy to spend 10 karma or move one point.  IMO its better to start with mechanically optimal and let folks tweak for whatever the table rules are, then try to presume what table rules "everyone" is using. 

Your thread though, if you want something changed it can be done.

Mechanical Notes: Cloned Killer fresh from the Bacta Tanks or wherever they grew you.  You're raw, but you've got a lot of potential.  You're like one of those angry movie characters that kills dozens of henchmen on your way to revenge whatever made you angry, but without the life experiences.  Your immediate needs are skills, a place to live, transportation, and a fake SIN.  It'll likely take you a couple of runs to get enough Nuyen to complete your shopping list so be prepared to be creative on those first couple runs.  Or, phone a friend for a ride.  I would get a Lifestyle after the first run, along with whatever motorcycle you can afford.  Get the fake SIN after the second run.  And you can figure the third run will let you add on some armor upgrades, and flesh out your regular gear.

Karma-wise you need to work on your skills before you initiate, unless your teammates can cover you.   

Gear Access from the Ares armor lets you reload with a Speed loader with a Simple action so you can fire on each action pass.  And you should be able to fire a pistol with your Spurs out (there are non-retractable versions after all that don't penalize you, so it seems likely you can pop claws whenever...) so you can go from shooting to melee with a free action *drop pistol* and still be able to complex action attack.  Or pick up Ambidexterity, you've got 7 Karma still to burn at chargen. 

Chromed Flesh source book is really required for Prototype Transhuman that this build is centered on.

Mechanical notes:  Good news/bad news.  Good news is you're awesome.  Bad news, you're going to be spending Karma to fix your stats for a good long while before you initiate.  Getting Edge to 3 is your first priority.  Your skills are solid, you're even good enough to be a team Face at most tables, although your Etiquette skill would likely be a bit lacking for legwork.  But essentially you're a full on spellcaster and summoner that can throw 15+ dice at most opposed social tests. 

Nuyen, you'll want to pick up a fake SIN after the first run.  After that you're pretty well set.  Shapechange or Levitate combined with a Focus Concentration sustained Invisibility spell and a Spirit's movement and conceal powers actually mean you get around town at about 50 MPH as the crow flies.  Literally as the crow flies for Shapechange.  Unless the meet is a long way down the 5 at non-peak traffic hours you'll beat the team to where you're going most of the time.

But also i would like to stress the fact that if anyone is experienced with SR5,
Please consider adding more archetypes to this.
Shadowrun really needs more of these , as in all common character ideas represented ,
with preferably one for each possible race ,
as in also a dwarf or troll face , street sam, decker etc ...
and at least the humans represented in all roles .

Also what would be even cooler , if people were to add both male and female art to their sheets ,
that they perhaps found through a google search or on deviant art or the like ,
so that people who would use these as quickstart sheets for new players ,
could have players choose between male female dwarf elf troll human ork versions of different common character roles.

He doesn't look like he belongs in the shadows.  A pretty boy born to wealth and privelege, with his wavy perm and that slightly bored, slightly condenscending look on his face.  But he can be useful, digging for gossip in upscale venues, representing the team at meets where knowing which fork to use actually matters, soothing ruffled egos, and occasionally leveraging his looks and fame to acquire vital information or assistance.

Designer notes:  This is a character built to concept, so it actually turned out fairly well - making background based decisions does not always result in a cohesive character in Life Modules.  The idea was an idle rich brat becoming a runner; partly disillusionment with his shallow life, part jaded thrill-seeking, and maybe a bit of idealism or straightforward greed in the mix.  The modules practically picked themselves until I got to Real Life, where I finally went with Celebrity to depict someone who coasted along, then found out he could still coast along after university.  His "job" basically consists of sharing his partying lifestyle and so-very-important opinions with the masses.

Like the ever-popular ex-stripper, this character made most sense as a face type.  I made the assumption that he is not a complete neophyte to the shadows at this point, and gave him a few low-rated basic runner skills.  Normally, I wind up buying off the negative qualities from life modules - too often, they fit that stage of a character's life, but not the end character.  In this case, I actually kept them.  The SIN because of the combination of celebrity, trust fund, and day job; the prejudice because it also makes sense for him to be a bit of a snob.  I rounded him out with a few others.  The day job, already explained; distinctive style because I see him as the type to stand out; and "Did you just call me dumb?" because he is the type to drop in what he considers witty bon mots.

Possible Changes: He is built with the assumption that life modules characters don't get the free contacts or knowledge skills.  If they do in your campaign, then make the following changes: add French: 6 and Salish: 6 languages to knowlege skills; increase the Loyalty of the Club Owner, Fixer, and Meta Rights Activist by one each; for skills, increase artisan and intimidation to 2, increase leadershp to 3, and add a specialization in semi-automatics to his pisols skill.

Thanael, I'm not sure how you generated the Elven Mage, but get rid of banishing 3 if you can. Those points are way better spent improving counterspelling to 6, or otherwise benefiting skills you'll actually want to use.
