Missing the in between there.  Mod hamma?
There is no overkill.

Only "Open fire" and "I need to reload."

Good idea.  Good way to start at square one.

In my experience the gaming groups that feel Stick n Shock is too powerful are the groups where characters expect to have the 20 dice pools and armor in the mid teens to twenty range. At that point Stick n Shock has an out of line impact. In groups using the just basic SR4, Arsenal, Augmentation and so forth, I don't see the problem at all. It is actually more expensive than APDS and has a obvious and easily acquired countermeasure. It is all about your expectations for the game. In my group where it seems like dice pools of 10 to 14 are the high end and characters are not trolls with 4 cyberlimbs covered in armor it is a good ammunition but not out of control. It isn't like t is Possession tradition levels of stupidity or anything.
