I've avoided group contacts for the most part, but I tend to run short of points, and they're really point-intensive.

Well Sichr, if you want in on my smuggling ring, ground transport would be useful. I'm handling face and a weapons expert, and momo is my air transport running his helicopter, but if you want to buy in it'd be about 8 BP to get the contact. The total cost so far is 25, for Black Market Pipeline (10), 2-19 members (+1), National influence (+4), Connection 6, Loyalty 4

Also no points left. Only reason I wasn't done days ago was because of the dislike for Amnesia and Judas qualities combined.

Players sharing contacts is just a waste of BP, especially if they are expensive groups. For the same cost, you could all be part of different groups, having a multitude of resources at your disposal. If you want to be all in the same smuggling ring, create your own, starting with PC members only and doesn't cost anything. From there you can just hire additional people if needed.

What? We're literally splitting the contact: 25 total, 15 from me and 10 from momo. Hardly a waste, as it's simply representing mutual membership in a group operation. I find it's a good in character tie as well.

Unbidden comment from the peanut gallery aside, one good point was brought up. If you don't mind, bang, I could be a new member of your little group (too new to have access to the resources in it that actually buying the contact grants). This would create a link between our characters. Heck, Sichr there could do that as well if he wants to create a link between all three of our characters.

just buy in the membership, with point contribution towards total cost reflecting rank within the group. I'd prefer to maintain the highest, since being a Face who makes the decisions regarding contracts makes sense and it's sort of part of my concept,, and to keep it fair I'll also pay the most bp. If you want to be a new member, just toss in say 5.

Meh, it was just a thought. As I said before, I'm also completely out of points. Though, my fixer could potentially be a small part of your group. That could create a link using what I have.

At this point, I am flip-flopping a bit on reducing close combat group from 2 to 1 and putting those in (since I'd still have a 13 dice pool), but I'm not certain how exactly to manage inputting it into Chummer in an appropriate manner so the points aren't "wasted" according to the program.
