Heat

This is still my favorite movie, and my favorite SR inspiration movie.

Yeah, Heat and Ronin are in my top 10 for sure.  I've not seen 6th day or surrogates so I'll check those out next.  I totally forgot about Strange Days, derp!  I'm not sure what Banlieu 13 is, but I'll check it out too.

District 13, French film.  Very heavy on the parkour.

I know it's not accurate, but I think of Big Trouble In Little China when I think of how Wujen is practiced.

It's a great Adept-focused movie. Well, it's  great movie. But SR-wise, it's got some badass Adept fights.

Definitely agree with you, Crimsondude.

I can't help but watch BTiLC through a Shadowrun lense; there was a magic spike in San Francisco in the 80's (or the world so as to account for The Golden Child) and China Town has individuals with long memories. :)

Continuum, definitely - the future there is basically Shadowrun minus the Awakening. I started thinking "corporations own the world in 2077? Don't be silly", but after the 5th episode where I thought "holycrap that stuff that will lead to 2077 is actually happening in real life holycrap", I changed my mind.

I didn't see these two on that list of cyberpunk works:

Death Machine

A Farewell to Weapons - From the "Short Peace" collection of short animes. This one has a Shadowrun feel with basically a HTR team taking on a combat drone.

Yeah, ZeConster, when I started playing SR back in '89 nobody really thought corps would take over... we should have listened to Ron Paul!

Dredd. The 2012 movie with Karl Urban, not the old one with Stallone. Awesome movie.
