Hello Snape!

Enjoy your stay, ask questions, even poke the Can Ray. Just leave that poor Potter boy alone. ;)

Yeah, feel free to poke at CanRay's inability to actually play. Everyone does it. :P

I heard CanRay actually has a group now...

Also, Snape:

Enjoy your visit. Stay awhile. stay FOREVER! *evil, maniacal laughter*

Yeah, I have a group now, I had one before.

I always GM, not Play.  There is a difference.  If I didn't get to enjoy the game at all, I probably shouldn't be writing for the company now, should I?  :P

My group's solution to the "but..I want to play!" for me is: me and another person rotate GMing. After all...how would the players know
about the special hell some of them make GMing if other players don't get to go there, too!

Wait. The 'special hell' is for GMs too? Dammit...

Yes. While you go to the one between the ones reserved for jaywalkers and people who talk in movie theatres...
For GMs...well..lets just not say what ours is between. There is a reason so many GMs earn the label "Evil GM."
If we are going to go to a special hell....we might as well earn it!

Note to self: Actually remembering to look around is generally a good idea; finding the welcome thread is generally a good way to start off than in a storyline. :P

New player from Sydney, Australia; well not completely new, I've stumbled my way through a story with some friends. But mostly new nonetheless.

Hi. I pretty much jumped headfirst into this forum a few weeks ago, and finally found the Welcome thread.

I've been playing RPGs for a few years, but Shadowrun's my newest fix. When my last game died off in a spectacularly unimpressive way, I decided I liked the system enough to hunt out some new players.

Welcome, both o' ya!

Good havin' an Australian here, mate!
The Canadian jokes are getting somewhat repetitive.

I'd tell ya not to feed the trolls, but Mothers of Metahumans managed to get that flagged as racist slur punishable by the GOD in 2061.
So enjoy the boards, feel free to ask and share!

Canucks just make good target practice.  I mean, hell, what are we going to do?  Apologize people to death?

Oh god the Aussie accent. :P The sad thing is I can't actually do it, my natural accent makes me sound like a Brit.

Actually, I got smacked not that long ago for quoting The Road Warrior during a game of Old Skool Gamma World by an Aussie.  I then told her she couldn't do any French, Irish, Scottish, or First Nations accents in rebuttal.  :P

Still better than people thinking Australia is exactly like Mad Max, or Neighbours, or a horrifying combination of the two.
