Lack of gravitational force in the astral.  So if you get turned around, and the view is murky due to all the tiny life forms, how do you figure which which way is up?

Fast movement ("running") in Astral Space is 5km per Combat Turn. Average ocean depth is about 3.5km. Move in one direction for one Combat Turn—if you run into the ocean floor, that was the wrong way.

Just hope you don't run into C'thulu while you're down there.
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.
