Still, it is sad. I like to see curses continue. Because no matter how long its been since your team won the World Series, at least it hasn't been as long as it has been for the Cubs. I was very sad when the Red Sox won. Curses should continue, to remind the rest of us that things could always be worse.

Last time my family saw France, my Grandfather was racing his lorry to keep up with the rampaging Canadians who then had to walk back and say, "Sorry, went too far, we gave the territory back to the Germans" after D-Day.

That reminds me of a time we had two Quebecois come to the Pizza Hut I used to work at in Florida. They were demanding a "french menu" and were trying to speak to me in french. I recognized the language, but...in one of those moments of evil inspiration, I responded with (deliberately butchering the pronounciation using American letter pronounciations) "No habla el espanol, only habla el english."  Look on their face? PRICELESS!
