Well, among the old rumors of me were that, yes, I was an AI. Another was that I was Gary Gygax in disguise, while yet another was that I was Amish Online.
There's others, but those are the big ones.
MEANWHILE!
10 AIs was finished for 4th ed, but, it was late in the cycle and 5th was about a year off, so it wasn't dropped. It was going to be released around the time of the Decker book for 5th, but the eBook line had a collective heart attack before that happened and kind of fell apart. It's been drifting since then. It's the second thing I ever wrote, so the first final version was turned in... man. 2012? 2011 even? Yikes. I've gone in and rekitted it a few times since then ... originally, it was FastJack asking for information, but, well, he's gone now, so that doesn't work. I'll have to rework it again later to make sure that the mechanics are still valid and to update the fluff to take into account new stuff. One of the big reveals isn't that big anymore, while another ... well, I'll talk about that when I can.
REGARDLESS!
It's somewhere north of 30,000 words, details AIs old and new, introduces some plot points, gives you some nice stories to tell (including, most importantly, "I only have one decker on my team. No one else bothers with the Matrix. How can I use these things in a situation like that?") and, I hope, shows people a neat side of the Shadowrun world that gets less love than, say, the astral or cybernetic side.
Feel free to ask questions, but keep in mind that some things (like which ten it details) I can't give away yet.
