Trying to figure out if there is ever really any reason for a technomancer to be part of a pan if they're like running at 6 willpower.

Cause at that point I'd just run as a master of a pan all the time I'm thinking

I’m pretty sure you can toy with a Caliban and get it higher than Firewall 6.
If Tom Brady’s a Spike Baby, what does that make Brees and Rodgers?

High end RCCs are a good source of Firewall as well. Add modding and the overclocker quality + cyber program and it quickly adds up

It's possible to get a Commlink up to a fairly high Sleaze.  So if you're running silent you can probably come out a couple points ahead by slaving your Persona to a tricked out Commlink.

Commlink, Sleaze Dongle, MOS running Smoke&Mirrors, Stealth, and Signal Filter, Mod for more Noise Reduction, you've got 7 Sleaze and 1 net point of Noise.  Combine with Trust the Data not the Lore Positive Quality and you could conceivably drop Intuition to 3 if you're using CFs and Sprites to handle the Hacking.

Probably not the most optimal set up, but for a Cyberadept who has more Nuyen than stats, certainly an option.

Willpower 6 Technomancer that is looking to Increase Firewall probably not so much, but you could get to an 9 or so Firewall if you tried.  Fairlight Caliban Mod to increase Firewall, MOS running Encryption.  +3 Firewall isn't nothing.  May or may not be worth the Karma/Nuyen/continuous stun damage.  And odds are a Commlink modded for Firewall isn't going to be able to get a decent Sleaze so it'll get spotted much easier.  May or may not be an issue.

If only there was some way to have some kind of Device with a good Firewall and a good Sleaze to be a Master in a PAN... :P

A Caliban is rating 7 out of the box. You can't start with it b/c it's 14. But it's certainly the easy solution.
You could sleaze a Caliban but it's still expensive to do it.

Oh so a technomancer with crappy stats could use the Pan to basically use the master's stats for sleeze as well as firewall?

Only for defensive tests.  The Techno is still using their Living Persona stats for active tests / actions.

Only for defense.

That would actually work quite well for an Elf with maxed Charisma: Get slaved to a Caliban, modded with -1 to DP and +1 to FW, a Sleaze Dongle and a MOS with S&M at max + Encryption and Stealth.
for a nice 14 Sleaze defense as well as a 16 Matrix defense

Now you can throw around attack actions without risk of getting detected (get the submersion Draining Spike that allows you to heal stun damage through resonance spikes and kill unobserved simple devices for quick health regeneration)

Multiprogram Operating System.

It is a piece of tech from Kill Code (page 57) that can run up to 4 additional programs for the device it is attached to.

Technoshaman that uses Threading and Sprites and never does any hacking?  If you can make it through the first couple runs you're sitting pretty.
