I could use a hand if someone with some level of artistic ability is on this forum. I'm trying to get a visual representation of a character I have in mind, but I can't draw anything that doesn't resemble stick figures. I was hoping someone who had an over-abundance of time and looking for something to do would enjoy helping the artistically challenged out.

I too suffer from similar circumstances, but have found ways to compensate...normally by scouring the web for work done by those with some skill. ;D

If you haven't done so already, you might want to check out the Fantastic Non-SR Shadowrunesque Art Thread...some pretty good stuff in there.

Done that; there are some that are close, but not yet perfect. I've also raided DeviantArt and Pinterest. I also have seen heromachine, but I lack the skill to really use that.

Fair enough.  ;D

You might want to check out Squinky over on Dumpshock: Squinky's Character drawing II

At one point I know he was taking commissions, but not sure of his current status (or if you like his style).

From what I've noticed, he's taking a hiatus. Already exhausted that resource.

Sigh...at least you've done your homework ;) I'll do some digging through my bookmarks and see what I can find.

It is what it is. Hence why I'm hoping for some aspiring artists on here looking for a project.

Can you link some images that were close but not quite?  Maybe we can find something for you as well.

Bear in mind I am an extremely particular person as far as the vision I give to my characters (which suck when looking for things like these since I can't draw);
What I'm looking for is a female with her right arm cybered (obviously chromed), otherwise a well-toned attractive woman (I picture a younger Shannon Doherty for reference as far as face and hair) with a sword or small arms set-up (nothing bigger than an SMG); I can give you the ones closest that I can find links for and detail the general issues...

I like design and the attitude in the character herself; not caring for the hair or the belly revealing tanktop or the smiley face belt buckle.

I like the layout, but the design says to me "too much tough-girl." Also, not a fan of the ears, fingers, and such hanging from her.

Hope this is helpful to anyone else who is having similar issues.

I like both of those, but I noted the first one (which is sexay) has a cybered left arm, not a right arm.  This could be fixed by simply mirroring the image though.  Also, erasing the dangly bits from the second image should be feasible as well.  At least, mostly.

I have a few other links, but those are the closest ones. They have a certain personality to them that appeals to me. I know the cyberarm is on the wrong side, but it's still done in the style I like.

Again, this wouldn't be as much of an issue if I wasn't a particular pain in the hoop.

Hey how's it goin'?

Saw yer plea, thought I'd put something together for ya. Didn't put too much time into it yet, but if you like where it's going, I could do a bit of refining on it. Or if you like it as is, you're welcome to go wild with it.

Emsquared...that is beyond a doubt badass and awesome. In combat, that's about how I picture her looking to a T. The cyber-arms a little different than what I envisioned, but I kind of like yours better anyways. Not sure about the camo, but it adds a bit of flavor and color to the character, which I think it really needs anyways. Awesome! Consider this picture used!

I'm interested in seeing what you'd do with it just for fun now.

Cool, glad you like it. Do you have any more detail you'd like included, different skin, hair or eye-color, tattoos, jewelry or anything?

Also, if you or anyone else was curious, this was done on Hero Machine, like all the avatars I've made.
