Title: Anyone play City of Mist yet?
Post by: Kato on <09-27-19/1910:04>
One of my players wants to start GMing, which I'm all for since we can alternate games every other week and I can get a break. He is interested in City of Mist, so I started watching stuff on Youtube. It looks pretty good, a sort of cross between a heavy d6 system and Dresden files, at least rules wise. Anyone have any experience with it yet?

I picked up the free book a couple of weeks ago. It's mostly a narrative system (i.e., diceless), but does look pretty promising.

I'm actually okay with fewer dice rolling rules. I love Shadowrun but the major downside is the insane game rules. From what I'm hearing 6e isn't much better at fixing them (some are better, some are worse). I've played Dresden Files, which wasn't quite enough dice rolling for me, so I'm hoping that City of Mist is a step or two above that. I do love a good story based system however. I am pretty sure we'll give it a shot.

It's not diceless but it is an awesome setting.
