Clem looks at O'Connor. If looks could talk, this one would unmistakably say "let's just get this over with", but she decided to give Fionn a chance. He had dealt with the dealer earlier so she was curious to see if he could pull this one off as well.

O'Connor gave Clem a nod of agreement, Right there with ya. He gritted his teeth, "Seriously dude, ya need to stop waving your compensation dick around. It's getting pathetic."

Once it seemed like the security guard was going to try and stop them from leaving, Fionn decided the man needed some other things to worry about.  No time to do this right...  Just going to have to cover my tracks.  He dropped the glamour and put his mask back together, used his stolen credentials to log back into the security node, and set the fire alarm to go off in 20 seconds.  Alright, this part might hurt.  Just remember, you've had far, far worse. 

"Look, mate, it's not my fault the executive producer didn't get this properly cleared.  But for some reason, it's still my ass if the shooting schedule slips - and we just lost a good deal of time and setup, and I've still got to find somewhere else that we can get real reactions.  Bad enough that I have to dragoon a specialist prop tech and the cop consultant into doing the acting...  So we're leaving, and if you've got a problem with that, you take it up with my boss."  He didn't so much as break his stride, stepping around the rent-a-cop as he did.

"Another time, I should be getting back to the station.  I can't spend all day playing tour guide, who knows there might be some criminals in town."  He grins at his joke as he shakes hands with Jonny and Sam, then takes his leave.

Johnny waited until the sheriff had pulled out of the parking lot before turning to Sam and braking into song. "I shot the sheriff but I did not shoot the deputy." He didn't sing loudly but he was very off key. He stopped and scratched his left ear "I've had that stuck in my head the whole time brotha'. But did we get what we need?" He looked through the glass windows of the diner wondering how the others had faired.

Sam smiled and waved amiably as the Sheriff left, then started walking back to the diner. "Well, Johnny, we didn't get anything physical, but what we got is much more valuable--we got information. And, of course, we made a good impression on the local law enforcement; that's always useful. Thanks for coming along, by the way. I know you weren't comfortable, but it made me feel better knowing you were there in case things got...uncontrolled."

As they walked through the door of the diner, Sam scanned the room.

ARES-Mart

The security guard looks for a second like he is going to stop Fionn, but changes his mind.  The four security personnel do follow the runners out of the store, with Stun Baton eyeing  O’Connor the entire way.

Just as you reach the door, he seems to get a call and stops.  Letting the others keep following the runners, he turns and moves back to the rear of the store quickly.

The Diner:

As Sam and Jonny enter the diner, Alice shows them a dazzling smile "Welcome back darlin', I thought the sheriff arrested you."  Looking around, the diner has cleared out in the mid afternoon down to few folks getting a late lunch. The owner is in the back cooking, the other waitress is gone and no one seems to be especially concerned with Sammy and Heron, except a couple of young orks in a corner booth.  They notice your attention and the boy goes back to his fries as the younger girl waves.

"Hey guys," Sammy said to the two, "the rest not back yet?"

[Necrogigas]

O'Connor made his way back to the group's vehicle and flipped the remaining guards off as he got in. Once Clem and Red were inside, he turned to Red, "So, did Icarus get the goods?"

[RHat]

"Seemed to.  Now the question is 'where the hell is he'."  Fionn spent a few seconds scrubbing his Resonance signature out of the security node before rebooting his wetware again.  "I could really stand to rest for a bit at this point, though - had to pull a lot of threads together to do a lot of different things, and the Fade hit me a little harder than I expected.  Should count my blessings, though - I was pretty sure that guy was going to tase me when I walked right past him."

[HydroRaven]

Clem made her way to the door with the rest of the group, keeping an eye out on any funny movements the guards might have tried to pull on them. As they get out, she makes her way to the Jeep, always mindful of her surroundings, trying to spot Ikari at the same time. Once in the vehicle, she sais to the rest "I have no idea where he is. Didn't anyone see him get out of the store?"

[RHat]

"Saw him leaving on the camera feeds, hence why I decided it was time to get the two of you out of there.  We really should have established a signal as to when he was done and some sort of meeting point, though..."

[Necrogigas]

"Didn't he say somethin' 'bout meetin' at a burger joint, or some shit?"

[RHat]

"You're right, forgot he mentioned that...  McBurger's, up by the light.  Best if we get moving, then."  He noticed that the security node had gone offline.  "We may, potentially, have a problem; the security node has gone offline.  That could mean they've noticed there was an intrusion.  It's pretty much impossible to trace it back to me - I've cycled through multiple Access ID's through all this, and while I was logged into there I was using the supervisor's ID and credentials; I just did a reboot to be sure though, which gives me a new ID and thus leaves them with basically no idea of what to be looking for.  All the same, best not to be sticking around here and raising suspicion - just be on your guards."

[HydroRaven]

Visibly overwhelmed with the technical lingo, Clementine shrugs and says "Whatever you say, Red. If they do track you, do you think you'll be able to see it coming? I'd prefer to have a few seconds warning before a dozen rent-a-cops descend on us... Let's just go to McBurgers for now." Clem starts the Jeep and makes her way to the burger place, trying not to attract any unwanted attention to the group and respecting all the rules of the road. She tries to find a parking place not too far and parks, telling the rest that she'll "stay in the car and wait for you guys to pick him up."

Intrigued by the young girl's motion, Sam answered Sammy's question, "Haven't seen them. Guess they're looking into the availability of props, so we don't have to ship so much out here. But you'll have to pardon me, I think someone wants to have a word." He sauntered casually over to the corner booth and slid up a nearby chair. "Hello. Nice day out there today. You two come here often?" It was mediocre as far as opening lines went, he knew, but he hadn't had much of a chance to get a read on the two yet.

" I was here this morning with my nene, I'm Melissa." she shakes Sam's hand, "That's my brother Matty, Ms. Delavane said he could be a tech-ni-cal advisor on your movie cuz he used to be a smuggler and could get his friends to help you."  Matt turns bright red and shushes his sister, "Keep it down Mel, she said she would try, this is probably her boss, your gonna get us in trouble."

Looking at Sam, Matt continues, a little chagrined and a lot more quietly "I have been making some calls, sir, looks like the guy I told Ms Delavane about can be found, if you are interested."
