Aaaand some more questions for you.
First of all, Biocompatibility states the following:Quote from: Chrome Flesh page 54In game terms, the Essence cost of implants of the particular chosen type are reduced by ten percent, rounded down to the tenth. This rebate is cumulative with the reduction offered by the chosen ’ware’s grade, if any (e.g., the reduction for alphaware of 0.8 is reduced by ten percent, or 0.08, to become 0.72, and is rounded down to 0.7).Question: This has a significant effect on Used Grade, which normally has an Essence cost modifier of 1.25; "the reduction for used ware of 1.25 is reduced by ten perecent, or 0.125, to become 1.125, and is rounded down to 1.1". Is this correct?
This part has been answered in ver 0.4. we are rounding two decimal places. rr
This has been added to discussion topics
Grade | multiplier | mult. w/ Biocompatibility |
Standard | x1 | x0.9 |
Alpha | x0.8 | x0.7 |
Beta | x0.7 | x0.6 |
Used | x1.25 | x1.10 |
The SRM FAQ Committee decided that this will not be allowed. We recommend you work with fellow players if you wish to conduct Ritual Spellcasting with a group. rr
They are very powerful foci that temporarily increase your effective Magic rating. That means they add to your Sorcery, Conjuring, and Enchanting dice pools, along with any other test where Magic is involved.
I asked about whether addiction to Hot Sim is tested for here (http://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=26871.0) but it seems this is the appropriate place to have asked.
If this happens to still be going, in the FAQ Bloody Business is under the "The following Shadowrun Adventures are not intended for Shadowrun Missions play" section. That leaves it a little ambiguous as to whether we can use the Body Sculpt adept power at the end of the book, and some clarification on that would be very helpful.

What poisons are legitimate for a chemical gland?
I'd like to know if there's a stance on whether you can pick the same Critter power more than once when summoning Spirits. Usually doesn't matter, but arguably one can take Innate Spell repeatedly to get "one spell" each pick rather than one spell total. Be nice to know if there's a "right way" to read that in the eyes of the SRM folks, or if it's left to table variation.
Anthroform drones are noted in the rules as being able to use metahuman gear.
This isn't actually detailed in the books as far as actual rules mechanics, but in the past some of the book authors have indicated that as far as armor, you should pick the best armor rating between the integral and worn armor and just use that. Is this the case for Missions? Does the Hardened quality of integral armor apply at all if the worn armor has a higher rating?
Thanks,
-j

This will get into some wonky stacking rules, but here we go:
Let's say you have Drone Armor 6 wearing an Armor Jacket (12)
You keep the best parts of each armor.
So you have Armor 12 with 6 counting as 'Hardened Armor'.
So if hit with 0 AP, you roll 12 dice and also take 3 off of the original DV.
If you are hit with -4 AP, everything gets reduced by that -4.
So your Jacket is giving you 8. Your Drone Armor is giving you 2.
So now you have Armor 8 with 2 counting as 'Hardened Armor'. You roll 8 dice and take 1 off of the original DV.
Clear as mud?

As of right now, nothing stops a Spirit from having the same critter power more than once. We'll see if the FAQ team has concerns about balancing over the course of Missions play.
The integral armor on Drones isn't considered Hardened Armor. Drones and Vehicles simply don't take Stun damage, which is why if the modified damage value doesn't exceed the modified armor value the drone simply doesn't take any damage. So there isn't any reason to worry about a complicated system, worn armor on a drone simply overrides the integral armor of the drone. And the drone damage still works the same way, if the damage would be converted to Stun because it doesn't exceed the armor, the drone simply takes no damage.
Drones and Vehicles don't get free hits on the Soak test from their Armor.
Any chance we can get a SRM ruling on whether Drones are capable or incapable of participating in Teamwork Tests? (https://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=27462.0)
since a Spirit may get the Innate Spell critter power more than once, is it getting the same "one" spell more than once or one different spell each time the power is selected? (I'm guessing here you probably mean it can have more than one known spell based off the spirit of your answer)
....
Drones and teamwork tests: Dog Brain Drone cannot assist Meat People. Dog Brain Drone can assist other Dog Brain Drone is they are on the same RCC. Rigger possessed drone can assist Meat People.
As with any teamwork test, as long as it makes sense.

I have Opinions about using Agility in VR, especially given the explanation provided in the material as to why Agility is used (AR stuff), but I'll just houserule that and stick to Agility in Open Events.
Don't we already have Swarm for Drone Teamwork? Doesn't a full teamwork test here make Swarm worthless?
Thank you guys for finding time to look those over and giving us rulings on those.
not to add to your plate but did the FAQ committee look at skill wire and cold sim addictions?
Yeah, but Teamwork is superior to Swarm in teamwork bonus.I have Opinions about using Agility in VR, especially given the explanation provided in the material as to why Agility is used (AR stuff), but I'll just houserule that and stick to Agility in Open Events.

Swarm rules still apply. The RCC note is for drones not in a swarm.
Sooo... let's say a Rigger has a drone with a mechanical arm and an appropriate Technical Skill software package (say, Automotive Mechanics). That drone cannot assist the Rigger on Automotive Mechanics (based on the first sentence) or it can assist the Rigger (based on the second sentence)?
Or is the Rigger forced to assist a Drone on a technical task rather than it working the other way around?
snipYeah, but Teamwork is superior to Swarm in teamwork bonus.
which attribute does a Rigger use to shoot if jumped in? Agility in ALL cases UNLESS there is a Sensor Lock, in which case it becomes Logic. Please think twice before you start applying different attributes depending on if you are using remote control via AR, remote control via VR or remote control via VR while jumped in (unless you guys decide to change it for missions you currently use the same attribute in all three cases).

If a rigger is not jumped into a drone then a drone may only assist another drone that is slaved to the same RCC. But only if it make sense to the GM that it can assist with the test in the first place.

Can adepts choose a tradition or is that an optional rule and by extension not allowed per the FAQ?
It was going to be if it changed their drain pool like it does for mysad's but you answered the question in your answer - so I'm good and thank you.
For the most part, acquiring a license involves
making an application, paying some sort of fee, a SIN
check, and possibly passing one or more certification,
testing, or training programs. The exact details of acquiring
a license are left up to the gamemaster,
The potential earnings lost in this are offset by the cultural cachet that this “premium product line” carries, and the advertising that it both contains and shares with all potential customers. In essence, each customer becomes a walking billboard, letting everyone know what upgrades the user has and where they can get the exact same ones for themselves. Keep in mind you can’t turn this wireless functionality off and, no, augmentation bundles are never available as throwbacks. If a character wants a cybertechnician to do what Butch is mentioning in the quote above for a Missions character, how much will it cost? The text says "about a grand per item". Can another PC with Cybertechnology do this for the character?
- This stuff is hardware, not software, coded-up RFID tags that are beaming loud and proud. Too deep-set inside the cybernetics themselves for a tag eraser to get to, you have to have a decent cybertechnician open you up and root the damn things out by hand. Most docs will charge about a grand per item, give or take. Pays to have a tech who owes you favors.

Additional question / Confusion -
Adept Ways - Do they double in cost post char gen or not?
I found https://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=23294.0 but the thread isn't official nor is it covered in the FAQ's current version under Shadow Grimoire nor the Errata.
Appreciated - I have a new question given the wording of this is clunky -
Bloody Business
Body Sculpt -
" The time required to change one feature is approximately one hour. Multiple features can be changed simultaneously with a Body + Magic test, with each hit resulting in one additional change. The adept needs another full minute to undo the changes and return their features to normal. The time required to change one feature is approximately ten minutes. The adept needs another full minute to undo the changes and return their features to normal."
Which is it ? An hour to change or ten minutes? I feel like there was a copy and paste or auto text fill given the similarities/requirements of Facial Sculpt.
Guarda (Spelling?) Guided Missile Drone. Can be launched from a Vehicle Drone Rack? Or do you need a Missile Launcher? Or can they be fired Model Rocket style from a freestanding launch platform?
Since it's a Drone I would think you could just set it up in a Parking lot and launch it, then fly it around like a normal Drone. RAW there isn't a Vehicle Drone Launcher for Missile sized Drones, but Small would seem the most likely fit.
Also looking for suggestions on what a Technomancer should do with Nuyen once I've amassed a small swarm of Smartbombs. 8)
