Title: Has all the errata turned in been placed in the pdf already?
Post by: Shadowhack on <04-02-20/1219:31>
I'm not sure and I haven't seen it announced but every time new errata is posted on the resources page it looks like it is already in the pdf. Has all the errata that was turned in been placed in the pdf already? I mean all the errata that was approved to be put in. Is their errata already in the document that has not been placed on the resource page?

The errata doc will be here (https://www.shadowrunsixthworld.com/resources/) when it's published.

And crazy enough, it's there.  Lol, this is the first I've noticed.  Um, I'll be busy for a while...

Went through my list of Aug-Jan PDF compare notes, and the Augustus + February errata files cover almost everything. Just a few notes:

Remaining errors in things the errata fixed:
- Knockout blow no longer noted to require having spent Edge in table p48, but still does in table p311
- Confusion wrong sentence replaced, full description SHOULD be:
"This power causes the target to become indecisive, forgetful and befuddled. The critter makes an Opposed test using its Magic + Willpower against the target's Willpower + Logic. If the critter scores any net hits, the target character gains the Dazed status and the Confused status at a rating equal to the net hits."
- Language BDA tweaked, BDA still increases unarmed damage and AR [probably in error]
- R3 Cyberjack gives +1 matrix bonus, but Rating 5/6 stll give +3
- Example/whips were upgraded to 'Melee Attack Rating default is weapon AR + Strength', but the base rule doesn't mention this yet

Fixed in jan PDF but not mentioned in Feb-file:
- Fixed priority example: 12 attribute points
- Prejudiced now mentions 'actively opposing' instead of 'attacking'
- Some archetype tweaks
- Close Combat: Base unarmed damage is 2S
- Combat Example does not mention Attack Rating is raised by Strength in melee
- Static Veil helps against accumulating OS from maintaining illegal access to a host on a sprite (so can't protect the TM itself?)
- expenditure of Edge per round action => expenditure of Edge per action
- Data Spike's base damage is Attack ATTRIBUTE / 2, not Attack Rating / 2 (update, missed before!)

Present in Feb-file but not in jan PDF:
- p. 105, Step 3: Roll Dice and Spend Edge, paragraph 2, sentences 3-4: This change is missing there, so there's some duplicate partially-conflicting text
- Shotgun and Machine Gun ammo costs added
- Sim module and hot sim added as gear (costs+availability)

All in all that is pretty good IMO.

How much is still needing to be clarified/Errata that is not in the January PDF or the Feb errata document?

I think it's mostly a matter of that a FAQ would help here and there. From the top of my head the main thing missing is proper explanation how gas grenades and their concentration spread is supposed to work. Oh, and that SA guns can also fire SS-style. And that you can have 6 Minors, but only are allowed 5 when your turn starts. And how 'choose how many hits you keep, that impacts the drain' works for Preparations. And if other rifles are equal size as assault rifles (so standard weapon mounts compatible), or bigger. That's about all for my initial errata+question notes that I still am missing.

And there are some qualities that I want nerfed. -,- And I want Hardened Armor and Toxins and Grenades nerfed. But that is personal opinion, not guaranteed future errata.

Is it intended that new errata files do not include previous errata? Does that mean I have check all errata to get the right information?

If you get the January PDF, it's almost perfectly up to date with errata. As for whether it's intended: There's only 1 person capable of answering that question, and they're not active on the forum.

I habe August 2019 + February 2020.

Februrary 2020 doesn't include the changes of August 2019. Meaning, I have to look up two documents to check, if there have been made changes/corrections, instead of one.  Why isn't errata simply updated by adding further edits/changes? Would be much more comfortable.

That's the errata files. With Jan PDF I mean the errataed PDF that's in both webstores.

As for why, again, only JM Hardy can answer that question. I'm guessing that when PDFs and printings are updated, a full-errata document won't work well, so there's multiple PDFs for that purpose. A master-PDF would be nice though, yes.
