DocWagon and CrashCart sort of provide Health Insurance along with their more infamous services.

I could easily see them offering the traditional type of Health Insurance as well.  It's not like it's a loss leader, it's a good profit maker.

That is what Doc Wag and Crash Cart call basic service it is Doc Wag gold and platinum services and Crash Cart's diamond and double diamond services is what we tend to think of with armed health care.

Indeed. Basic DocWagon coverage (or whatever carrier is working locally) is essentially health insurance, and covers some cyber/bio replacements when you're injured, sometimes getting a discount. Of course, that means that all your medical records are on file, and you better have permits for any restricted or illegal ware.

The game is quite nice BTW. Story is a bit predictable but stays true to the original games of the 90s, and the game's universe (the Earth in 2069 dominated by warring megacorporations ruling over brainwashed salarymen) is a cool inspiration for Shadowrun.
