error when wanting to view a thread

I often get the following error:
Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

When I do a reload, mostly I get to the forum part I want to go in, but I'm wondering what this is.  I have it both at home and at work, but both times I use Internet Explorer (might have something to do with it).  Can someone help me with this?

I get this from time to time too.  Oddly, I got it when I hit reply the first time to this posting.  I give it a few moments and try again, then it works.

I get it too. Usually only for a few minutes at a time. It's not a big issue for me, unless I only have a few minutes in which to browse and post.

Getting it more and more, sometimes have to refresh like 10 times before I get a thread to load... Kind of annoying to lose entire posts to it too :(

That's what I figured too, but "41 Guests, 15 Users (1 Hidden)" isn't really all that much, is it?

It seems to be getting worse.  :(  :'(  It has just taken me over 15 minutes to actually connect to this threat to post.  And I had to repost as it wouldn't post the first time due to a connection timeout.
