Yes and no. The Imperials took the planet, but the Rebel troops fought a delaying action long enough to allow the entire Rebel leadership to escape, along with most of their personnel and a lot of materiel.

Yes and no. The Imperials took the planet, but the Rebel troops fought a delaying action long enough to allow the entire Rebel leadership to escape, along with most of their personnel and a lot of materiel.

It wasn't so much a battle as a holding action to strategically move to a more secure location.
