Woohoo!  I suppose this is the first post of the new board.  I'm excited about Crossfire.  I love these kinds of games when they work well.  Is there any chance of getting into a beta test?  :)

Beta testing has been going on for over a year now (I think)...doubt they're still taking applicants. That being said, very happy to see this...hopefully it's an indication that we're getting close to a release announcement.

Given the state of the rules I saw the other week, I'm guessing playtesting is all said and done.
Power corrupts.
Absolute power is kinda neat.

Are these rules publicly available?  If so, where can I get my hands on them?

I thought that RNB posted (Jan 22)that they were pretty much done and hoped to be able release them shortly:

First up as we get back on track, here’s the pre-final Crossfire game play example that appears in the back of the book; I say pre-final because it might change very slightly between now and the final rulebook (which, if my evil plans work out, we’ll be leaking soon).

Hopefully we'll be seeing something soon.  ;D

You've been slacking at it recently, so I'm glad there's a chance for you to get back in the game. :)

I am looking forward to it.  This is the first deck-building game I am interested in.

So is the model for Crossfire more of a Living Card Game or the Collectible Card Game?  To be clear on the difference: in a Living Card Game you know exactly what you're going to get with each pack or addition.  With the Collectible model, there is a degree of randomness in what you'll get with a pack.

If I recall the information provided correctly, it's an LCG which does expansions. It kinda sounds like more of a boardgame disguised as cardgame.
