Title: SR in RL the Horison-Doble Revolution
Post by: DarkLloyd on <07-29-11/1250:10>
I had a revolution for one of my char's but I figgured it was a theoretical design........

I guess its true. the longer a product is out the cheaper it gets! ;) Runners get a bargin at 8K, while us "oldsters" gotta pay 13K. Now All I gotta do is figure out how to put a sidecar on the RL one too.

Well... That and the electric motor blowing it to speeds of upwards to 60 MPH, smart tires, and the AR to be able to actually SEE where you are going. But, yes, it looks like someone grabbed the design of the Rev, and slapped it into the real world. I wish more things from Shadowrun would see that shift.

Ya'll know that the monocycle as a concept is a LOT older than Shadowrun, yah? (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OlderThanTheyThink)

NO LINKS TO TVTROPES!!!

It will eat our minds!!!

...

Well, a lot of free time that could be spent doing other things, at least.

Not really.  Nothing like it at all.

I could quit anytime I wanted to.  I just don't want to.

What?

WHAT???

I don't have a problem.  YOU'RE THE ONE WITH A PROBLEM!

Nothing wrong here at all.  :P

CanRay, Sichr and Chrona are the only guys that have put more time on the boards than me. And I think Chrona just falls asleep on his keyboard most nights.

And I have yet to be asked why, too!

As for the Monowheel, I like the one design someone made using a Buick Engine...  Wish I could find the old link to that...  Two computers ago.  :(

The design stupefies me. How does it stay balanced while not moving? It'd need one motherfucker of a kickstand.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death...etc etc  *gulp*

OK, I'll bite.

CanRay, Why?

Never said I'd answer, just that I've never been asked.  On the boards or through PMs.

Back to Monowheels.

IIRC, they have smartwheel technology as well in Shadowrun, that makes for some interesting chases when the guy driving after you can go up stairs!

Well, you have now, so it's a claim you can no longer make, answer or no :P

No.  It wasn't done politely, and I am Canadian and thus can choose that route to go.

Too bad, you wasted the chance.  ;D

1) Please
2) Can't play the 'I'm Canadian' card without ending the sentence with 'Eh?"

I learned that from my cousin...and had it reinforced by a Minnesota National Guard unit I was attached to for deployment.

Back OT:
I have always like the idea of a monocycle.  I even engineered on for that Battletech game.  I had the thought of a bunch of crazy people on monocycles armed with machine guns chasing down Locusts and other small engines of destruction.

I can just imagine what a Go-Gang equipped with these would do....especially if they had smart wheel tech.  :)

It's not shameful.  A little compulsive maybe....but not shameful.

Mostly b/c I want one too, and we can't BOTH be wrong!

Moving happens.  I hadn't read any of them in over a year or more.  Comic books take up an inordinate amount of space and weight.  That and someone offered cash.

I have to double-check if all of my father's old comics survived the trip from my old province...

Normally, so are Motorbikes,. But spiked tyres (a la the Warwheel) could remedy that ;)
