I'm not going to say anything more, but so far only 55 out of the ~2500 members have voted on this. If you lurk here, vote. If you haven't posted in a while, vote. I'd hate to have the poll close with only 2% of the posters voicing their opinion on this!

Hm, at least, that reduces the question "How important is the rep system for this forum?" to two possibilities:

a) Many people don't care.
b) We still don't know how many people care, because many people ignore the "Forum Business" sub-forum (which isn't the same thing as not caring, as they perhaps simply don't know that something more or less important happens here).

Of course, it would be interesting to know, how "active" the voters (and non-voters) are. If the 55 voters were responsible for, let's say, 90% of the traffic, it would make the poll more significant than if it was only 10%.

I suspect the 55 are the most active posters etc.  A lot of people will either only sign-up once , stay awhile and then leave to rarely come back; or only visit the forum occassionally.  Even the most active posters are likely to come and go every now and then.   And then there are the readers only, the members who come here to read posts but never post themselves.  Not sure how many that would be...
