Has anyone converted dikote to 5E? Both weapon and armor application? If so, please share.

2050 (4e) has stats for dikote. +3 armour, +1DV, -2AP if edged.

In setting it's roughly equivalent to asking for the 5e stats for plastic or optronics. Or, as 2050 puts it, "It’s a good edge to have on the street, at least until the patent expires and everybody has it ."

Yea, dikote never made it into the 2070s..... and no one is sure why....

On the surface is looks to have been removed from the fame. Why is anyone's guess.

But the 2050 book write up is about as close as you can get for an official write up.
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.

The dikote is already incorporated into almost all applicable products.  Gear stats already reflect this. (OOC: somebody decided to do some cheese control on Dikote coated Katana weapon foci).
Warning: most likely posting from a tablet.

Why, then, edged weapons from 4E core rulebook have the exact same stats as their "2050" equivalents?

Because it's an excuse to avoid calculating surface area of items, rather than any real mechanical change. (there are some price differences, though not uniformly so)

Never mind that surface area came back like a bad smell with universal mirror materal.
