I read somewhere ( can't remember the source right now) that some 6th World- born Elves may have memories from (possible) past incarnations.I'm not talking about the Immortal Elves.
I wonder if that's true since I would like to incorporate this idea in my campaign.

even if it isn't canon, if it makes a good story roll with it! Seems like an interesting idea. Do you have any hooks in mind you would like to bounce off of us, or were you just asking if it's a thing?

You may be thinking of the Elven Path of the Wheel, where the elf goes through different phases like warrior, steward, etc..  There was some fluff somewhere that implied that some elves may go down different paths in different lives.

Black Madonna or Nosferatu by Carl Sargent & Marc Gascoigne there is mention of past elven lives, but I can not remember which and do not have the books at hand.

Edit:  Just looked and it was Nosferatu, toward the end Serrin and Kristen are revealed to have been linked in past lives of another age, but while he is still an elf, she is human now.

Warning: There are many who argue how canon Sargent and Gascoigne's writings are, so just be prepared if someone wants to argue it. :P

So there is some precedence but even if there wasn't, if you feel it can add to the game go for it.

Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

It talks about the Ways and Paths in Tir na Nog. Been awhile since I dug mine out --- I think it is similar to Paths of the Wheel in Street Magic.

Or wayback - I think there were the elven Paths: Denizens of Earthdawn Vol1 -- just found a reference to Journey of the Wheel.

Isn't this the major plot in Imago?

Thank you all for your answers.

Imveros there's a female elven rigger, ex-Telestrian employee in my party. She's tech savvy and rebellious. She  rejects the traditions and the politics of the Tirs, and she doubts the truth of a "glorious elven past".
I feel that she'll be quite surprised when she starts  having flashbacks of great pain and bleeding , of thorns all over her body, images of the elven court and the coming of an embassy from  a kingdom called Sereatha.
Well I bet it seems quite silly but I think it has potential :p

Sendaz this path of the wheel you mentioned is quite interesting.I m new in Shadowrun but I ll try to find more info, I think it will fit with the above story

Essentially yes, SnackerBob - and both Sendaz and Cantrip are correct in regards to the Paths of the Wheel (including the magical traditions, etc.).  Kuroi, there are numerous ways to handle this, whether as actual past life memories, as social-pressure-created imaginary visions, whatever.  There's a huge amount of room for interpretation, and I recommend you using everything you can.  Your idea for the rigger sounds great.  And especially so when, during a high-magic run, she experiences SURGE - and starts having thorns emerge all over her body ... ;)

Ow . . .

. . . on several levels.

Seriously though, how many IEs would be out to hunt down this thorny problem? (Okay, not as serious as I intended - but still holds).

Considering how badly one of the IE's freaked out in World's without End when his missus put  some rose bushes in the garden that he had them torn out I would say maybe a couple at least. :P

And in honor of this, lets see what some of the  most annoying things about having thorns sticking out of you are:

1) Your GM has declared ruining the seat upholstery in the van counts as vehicle damage and costs accordingly.

2)  Your team mates keep sticking posted notes on the thorns.

am sure there are others....

The latter is a case of mundane utility. The former though...

Also, can you imagine trying to have an intimate moment? Just... OUCH. :o

Unfortunately for the two or three aforementioned IEs, 'Thorns' is a 'standard' (if painful) SURGE expression, which means there are at least hundreds, possibly thousands of people across the globe who are undergoing the experience ...

Exactly.

And after, yes.  Just remember that any significant mana surge - the mana flows of the Ganges, very powerful magic in a fight, that sort of thing - can (or should be able to, i.e. as GM, give you an excuse) cause SURGE to occur.

Indeed. It is even mentioned in one of the 4th edition books by Traveler Jones that he witnessed a guy undergoing SURGE as they passed through a mana storm. In truth, so long as the latent potential is there, exposure to any strong magical energy could spark the change. Kindof like how in Back to the Future, it didn't matter HOW they got to 88 MPH and the 8.6 Gigawatts, just so long as they GOT them. The latent changeling DNA is the Flux Capacitor, and all it takes is the right combination, and BAM.
