What I know they officially announced for this year (though timelines might be in flux so who knows): Margin Calls (corp update book with status post Lethal Harvest), Risks & Rewards (campaign book tied into Margin Calls), Deus Ex Arcana (second magic book), and of course Anarchy 2.0.

I also know of other books in the work, but I have yet to find anything official on those so :-X.

Catalyst's Shadowrun Products / What is in the pipe for 2025?
« Last post by Beta on <04-25-25/1359:22> »
I'm getting that itch.  No, not that one, the one where I want to be cracking open the cover of a new ShadowRun book and losing myself in what is happening in the alternate future.  But I'm not sure where to find what is upcoming?  Anyone here know what is slated for the rest of the year?

(to be clear, it is not that I'm hurting for material.  Of the three most recent major publications:
- I haven't read most of Tarnished Star yet
- Lethal Harvest I'm still trying to digest and figure out how to use in my home game (plus I've only recently started on Scotophobia)
- the 6e advanced combat rules book I haven't even bought yet (someday probably, but not as much use to me).

Plus I'm still slowly reading in detail La France des Ombres (from the French language publisher Black Book Editions), after an initial quick pass through it.

But I want something new, preferably with the start of post Lethal Harvest plot / world changes.  Yes, I'm greedy.  No, I don't expect it for a while.  But I'd like to know when, and if it isn't for a while what else there is to look forward to.)

Catalyst's Shadowrun Products / Re: It's (Lethal) Harvest time!

This is not uncommon, sadly, in modern TTRPG products.  Not just Catalyst Games' but for a lot of systems.  They write the books like they are novels to read and not games to be run.  Maybe there is a large contingent of GMs/Players that just buy the books to read them and reveal in the lore but it makes them difficult to use in a campaign.  A lot of the SR6 books are so full of fluff and lore that they are almost skippable.  Sorry to hear that this one goes that route.  I was looking forward to it.

I hope that the .pdf market on ttrpg books helps buffer them a bit (certainly the only way I expect books to be affordable in the next while)

There is some irony in you completing lockdown before lockdown.

I really can't wait for Takedown to start fulfilling! Two years ago I demoed the prototype at Spiel, ~20 games, each different. Like the one that ended in a TPK because someone never heard of closing a goddamn door.

As a long time lurker, I remember....
Good to see some familiar faces (avatars?)
My 5e group fizzled out just as covid started (I got to finish my boston lockdown campaign at least)
Haven't played 6th yet - was hoping the upcoming boardgame would renew some interest in my group.

p141 - Network Sharing Enhancement mentions having ratings that determine how many sun-riggers can join the network, but the statblock is written as if it does not have a rating.

The Secret History / Re: Question for Ringmaster

My assumption was that it was showing that the Atlatean Foundation had suffered a hostile takeover (in essence).  That the raids killed, captured, or drove off most of the leadership, and that the Disians/allies put in a puppet to run the remnants of the foundation and provide useful propaganda.

 . . . like he'll answer  :o

Since Sheila Blatavska is currently sheltering with the DF (as far as is known), who was responsible for that screed from the Atlantean Foundation talking up the Disians and saying how deserving of respect and assistance they all are? A (unidentified?) Faustian? A wannabe Faustian? Just some fanboy or fangirl?

I had the impression that it was released after the raid, but I could have missed something.
