in first examples you talk about bricking a gun, but how do you determine a condition monitor for weapons??

This is explained on p. 174 in the rule book.

A device is bricked when it’s Condition Monitor is full and the condition monitor if the device is = Device Rating divided by 2 + 8.

In the equipment section of the core rules, you’ll find device ratings for comlinks, cyberdecks, accessories and RFID chips, but
unfortunately they forgot to reprint the guidelines for other device ratings (I.e guns), which was printed in 5th edition
