No no, you didn't do anything wrong. Month 1 of this thing was my first time, so I don't have much more experience than you.  One thing I have learned is that if you wait around for everyone to comment on everything that they might want to, an already slow game can slow down way more.

 I should've queued up the teamwork roll before hand, that was my bad.  As it stands now, I figure I'll write up my IC post for my assist if Jayde okays it

Until we agree with the price we cant ask for details about the mission.

The usual break down for a meet is as follows

1) You show up
2) pleasantries. though these can be pretty short.
3) Johnson gives you a very basic/rough idea of what the job. In this case. Missing items need to be returned before the clan loose face. A retrieval job with a short time frame.
4) Negotiate the price.
5) agree to the job or walk. If you walk mission ends here.
6) Once all is agreed, the Johnson goes into the details of the job. We then get to ask questions that the Johnson might know the answers to.
7) Legwork begins.
