Ruthenium Polymer Coating is 5000 nuyen per rating.  3 Matches your Sleeping Tiger.  So that's 15,000.  x 125% is 19,250 + 10% on top of that is 21,175.

Unless that typo meant to read as "I will JUST take the ballistic mask", which you can get your damn self at cost (don't need to send someone nutzo after it)

How does Ruthenium coating by itself cost more than a sleeping tiger?

Probably because the Sleeping Tiger is a PACKAGE deal.  That's how consumer shit works, right?  It's built into the item and marketed thus as opposed to adding aftermarket stuff.  It's always more expensive as aftermarket.

Also, because it's written that way in the book.

So to get the RPC on your MASK to match the rating on the outfit would cost for the coating to be placed onto the mask.  5000 nuyen per rating.  Required to get the FULL benefit of rating 3 RPC.
