2075 Persistent Game World Thread

I’m looking for a dedicated team of high profile runners for a job (or jobs) in Europe.  This will probably be loosely based around some of the runs in London Falling (unless a significant number of possible recruits have run them previously in which case I can come up with something else).  Recruitment will be flexible and if we get a large number of applications I may well split you into a couple of teams…who wants to be on the distraction team? :]

As befits top end runners character gen will be using the Prime Runner sidebar [SR5 p64] and Sum to 14 with availability capped at 18 and device ratings at 6 on equipment!  The price for such generosity is that I want runners who can fulfil the roles of at least two normal runners (I expect some party crossover) or even be able to go it alone for periods of time.   You will receive one free contact which is likely to be an orc fixer called Torrent.  Try to stick to RAW where possible but I’m not above considering options ‘outside the box’.  All races etc (included infected) are possible although you’ll need a damn good reason to play a centaur!

Game Style is likely to be more Trenchcoat than Mohawk (one of the reasons for the centaur comment) so just bear that in mind when coming up with your characters…they will be powerful individuals who have worked hard (or been extremely lucky) to get to where they are.  I would like to see detailed character backgrounds with (or possibly even before) any stats.  Given the nature of pbp I suggest Face is a secondary role for anyone who wants to take that on but all runners should have some social skills for dealing with the movers and shakers of the European shadows (although there’s no reason why your runner can’t be a jet setter from the UCAS or further afield, called on for their particular expertise). 

I will provide you with transport to the UK and a suitably sized ground vehicle for getting around (although it won’t have the bells and whistles of a true ‘rigger van’) and a disposable SIN for the duration of the run.  It’s up to you what the attached ID is but I suggest you wait until I reveal more about the run.

This will be an ongoing subthread of my 2075 persistent world thread and rewards will be the same… you earn 1 karma and 2000¥ for every 2 IC posts you make (cumulative across any of my 2075 games!) which can be spent mid run (we can work out IC reasons for new equipment or increases to skills etc)…there are also bonus rewards for submitting info to the campaign page on Obsidian Portal (character sheet, contact details etc…) https://stormy-waters-2075.obsidianportal.com/.  Every post there counts as an IC post for reward purposes.

Character concepts can either be posted here or in the master OoC thread which will be used for all the OoC once the game kicks off.

Ive got a changeling technomancer of a couple different ideas.

So like here is the roughs of My technomancer concepts

Mafia Don - This guy is kinda in charge of a small time mafia group. Technomancer/Face Possibly a changeling with Neotry, and tends to use his short size to be more intimidating. Or he might go down a slightly different path and be something of the good don.

Experiment 1009 - This version he gets captured at a young age and subjected to various sorts of expirments intended to awaken the technomancer to figure out how to mass produce them. When he awakes however he manages to delete all their data on him and now shadowruns to slowly eradicate the entire vein of research.

Digital Ghost - This man doesn't exist. Facial recognition can't find him because his face looks like everyone elses and his own digital footprint has been erased as well. Tends to take on mostly tech based jobs though he might go down assassinations and smuggling as well.

Overwatcher - This version however does exist. And often ends up building his current runs into digital maps for Shadowrun Online and Darksprint, the knockoff version. Uses small unit tactics, leadership and the like to assist.

Data dog - This one absorbed a huge amount of data off the internet.As a result.. well he knows a lot of everything (Takes those knowledge skill things) An alternate version is where the character is an old man having a larger amount of time to gather the info.

I've always wanted to do an Ork Kendo master. Probably an adept, but that just seems so "par for the course" so maybe not. Perhaps he could be related to Jack's ork...
I also have a soft spot in my heart for this elven machine gunner from chicago, former merc named Weedy I made a long time ago. I could tune her up to your specs.

There's always room!

Mage and Samurai roles are so far 'unfilled' so if you and Saithor wanted to cover those that would be great...if you want to play something else then I've no problem with that either, I always tailor the opposition to the current posters to keep you on your toes without under or overwhelming you (at least in theory!) :)

Putting down a marker here, I have a high-powered character that I'd like to roll by you. If I had to quickly describe her, she's a mix between Irene Adler in the Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes movies and Catwoman in Nolan's Dark Night Rises. She specializes in infiltration (sneaking, a bit of hacking, etc.), knows how to defend herself and sweet talk herself out of bad situations. She travels around a lot, going from gigs to gigs until she "outstays her welcome".

I like the sound of your concepts - some of them might be harder to integrate than others but I'll work with whichever you like to bring you into the action...

As an aside there is precedent in my 2075 games for something like the Experiment concept...abusing technos is a theme that has been quite important in my games (not that I have anything against them you understand!)...

The experiment one could go super uncomfortable for everyone involved in the game depending on how grim and dark I make the backstory. Though I do have a bit of a hard time playing serious characters as I tend to be a bit more mohawky than a dark broody and tortured soul.

I have no problem with that!  All for taking RAW and renaming it - if the rules are the same then it's no skin off my nose!

Been working up the upgrade... and it seems some people got rather sick of Snow Crashes' atrocious social skills... gone from Cha 1, Etiquette 2 to Char 3, Influence Group 4... so he's picked up College Education and Linguist to show someone packing him off to school  ;D, alas getting an education and working with some higher rollers has gotten him used to living comfortably(Medium), so roughin' it is gonna suck .. also let me get some more knowledge and language skills despite core stats not changing. Most of the cash got sucked up in upgrading 'ware

Gives me a good idea of overall story now, both pre-Circus Tricks and in the intervening year before Circles of Power. Seeing things laid out is something that helps me drive the story.

Ok, I'm more or less done with her. since you said we should be able to fill two roles, I went with rigger as the secondary, focusing her mainly on air recon and light fire support. She's also a pretty good get-away driver. I'll post up her backstory and personality and all that good stuff tomorrow after work. Brief rundown: Born in chicago in 49. Separated from her family during the chaos of 55. Survived in the containment zone on her own by scavenging until her late teens, when she was hired on as recon by a merc group running missions into the CZ. Made a small fortune and retired by age 25, away from Chicago and the bad memories therein. It only took her a year for the entire fortune to be lost. Sure, she had some really nice gear and some really nice chrome to show for it, but she had to find work again and she'd be damned if she was going back to bug city.

Do I go dark and brooding, everyone betrayed me, and now I wear the cowel of angst as I hunt those who betrayed me
Or Do I go a little more happy go lucky, eternal hope of wonder, lets have fun and enjoy our felonious acts?


Right now I'm leaning more to the second one.

Just my 2 nuyen... but angsty characters are really easy traps to fall into, as indeed are the happy go lucky. Both can get a bit one dimensional.

Shadowrun is a game that really sets itself up for flawed characters, characters with their good traits and bad, mental strengths and flaws. Even just combining those two traits, someone trying to keep a happy-go-lucky attitude, but often falling into brooding angst is far more compelling than one or the other.

If your character is first and foremost a professional, the rest is usually no problem. As long as you are exceedingly competent you can be a bunny ears laywer (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BunnyEarsLawyer), no problem.

Shadowrun is a game that really sets itself up for flawed characters, characters with their good traits and bad, mental strengths and flaws. Even just combining those two traits, someone trying to keep a happy-go-lucky attitude, but often falling into brooding angst is far more compelling than one or the other.

When did you game with Smiley?  ;)  (BTW Aria, sheet is in works.  You never told me if I should base him London or Seattle.)

Just noticing a couple of things in the sheet...

You've got spare clips for your tasers, Defiance Ex Shockers use Internal Magazine(m) not Clip(c) so you don't need to buy spare clips.

Next you've got Mini-Grenades but no launcher? Thrown grenades are Aerodynamic or Non-Aerodynamic, Mini-Grenades are used in launchers.

Thirdly you've got multiple pistols with Smartgun systems... but no Smartlink, either implanted or external.

Finally the Fairlight Caliban is a Device Rating 7 comlink, Device Rating is still limited to 6 Prime Runners.

Contacts - Doctor Acula - Not this character's real name. But a real genius when it comes to certain medical applications, particularly his main forte. Eccentric and odd, he's matched by his assistant Frankie, a heavily cybered up street sam, who seems to have more metal in her than really even should be there. (In truth, part of her cybernetics is fake). Acula tends to do a whole gothic motif, based around the more classic vampire. Tobbis is actually a child hood friend of Acula, and sometimes shares in the enjoyment of old monster movies. Not slashers however or some of those other cheese mockomentery horror films. Monster movies, be the horror or even some of the more comical ones, they love most of them.

Doc loves them so much, he began working on a number of genetic serums in an attempt to make the monsters in real life.. serums he wasn't always particularly careful with. (Not that they worked however) One such serum, the werewolf one, was drank by Tobbis, on accident. (He was thirsty and thought he grabbed his cup of water like substance) And it changed him. Rather, it reacted to his own hidden genetics,  transforming him to the dog-beast man form he was. A rather disappointing turn, since he didn't even gain the ability to shift back and forth, let alone any of the super natural super powers of a werewolf.

The Doctor functions as Tobbis's drug and bioware dealer. Not that he really has any more need for the latter.


Frankie  is a street sam, who functions as Tobbis' fixer. Early on in his career as a runner, she was the one responsible for getting him a little more well known. Even the one who suggested some of the bioware that now rests in Tobbis' head.


In his earlier life, he wasn't poor. But well, he really wasn't well off either. Living out on his own in some small little shack for a few years until Doctor Acula came back from medical school, He made his way with minor jobs, ones that didn't pay very well, if at all. Often he worked more retail positions, not having strength or fortitude to work anything tougher. Didn't help that when other's his a growth spurt, he was already slowing down. But one thing he could count on was his brain. It took a few years to begin going into more of a criminal affair, but most everyone was already doing a little bit here and there of that. Then when he became a changeling, his two friends helped him more, since it was mostly their fault to begin with. Tobbis' primary goal in life is to make a small fun land, where he'll always be tall enough for the rides, and have more games than you can shake a fist at.

Physical Description: 5’9”, around 150 lbs, blue eyes. Wavy, brown hair about shoulder length, slender but toned figure. Carries herself with grace.

Personality/background Melissa was the daughter of 2 runners who fell in love on a job. She was raised (when they had time to) in the shadows of big corporations, avoiding any sort of authority. Melissa went to school through a neighbourhood NGO that provided basic education to the SINless. When she was old enough to fend for herself (11), her parents bid their farewells and never looked back.

She started breaking into houses for a living, stealing what she could. However, on one occasion, she broke into the wrong house. The owner was a very powerful woman by the name of Laetitia Sinclair. Instead of turning her over to the authorities (or worse), Laetitia, without any children or protégés of her own, saw potential in young Melissa and decided to train her. Melissa learned more subtle ways of getting what she wanted, as well as how to defend herself if the former failed. Melissa quickly learned that information was worth much more than anything she had ever went for before.

With Laetitia's training, Melissa quickly made some money. She wanted to jump into the big leagues, but felt it to be just beyond her natural reach. She then decided to go underground and get some modifications. Enough to get an edge in the shadows, but not to the extent of ruining her natural charm. Unfortunately for Mel, such extensive operations has resulted in a significant weakening of her immune system.

Once back out in the streets, she decided to go straight for the big fish. She hit 3 of the 10 major corporations, making out with valuable paydata. On the last of her heist, she crossed paths with the Vory. It seems that both Melissa and the Vory had seen the same information about this particular job. Unfortunately for both parties, their presence on the premises compromised the whole operation, which ended with empty hands for everyone. Melissa fled and narrowly escaped the Vory’s grasp. However, the Vory don’t forgive nor forget so easily.

Either works, I will get you to London 'somehow' if you aren't there already, same applies to the others... :)  You're a fairly eclectic group and the chances are that you are being 'assembled' for the run rather than an existing group coming to do a job.  That's not to say you won't have heard of each other or worked together (or against each other?) in the past.  There aren't too many runners that reach your level of expertise even on the world stage.

In addition to Torrent as a freebie contact you can all have 'read only' privileges on JackPoint...means I can refer to sourcebooks etc direct and will possibly help with background research.

Thanks for the sheets everyone, I will start to get them linked at the beginning of the OoC as soon as I can and then I'll study them...(although I don't believe in number crunching them so don't blame me if you've got 'em wrong  ::))

I've got a lot going on IRL ATM and while my current PbP commitments are minimal, I want to keep some flexibility should that change (as it tends to as events unfold). I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for a possible "mid-season replacement" or "extra muscle" sometime down the road when RL calms down or one of my other PbPs wraps up (one has a deadline of September-ish). I know you tend to keep recruitment open anyway, but I just wanted to make sure this was cool and see if there were any guidelines that I might need to adhere to in order for such a late join to be smooth.


I'm most comfortable with mages, so that's probably where I'd go. LOG or CHA (even INT, though I prefer the other two), I could go either way (filling a secondary as Face or medic/hacker). I could also branch out and try the cybered street sam archetype, though I'm not sure what secondary I could go with (infiltrator maybe?). Either way, I'd hold off on the character/concept until closer to joining if that's okay, but if needed I can get a concept and character sooner. Point being, I don;t have a particular preference, so I'd be happy playing whatever was needed to fill in a deficiency.

Known History:
Born SINless in Chicago in 2047 Christoph Grimson stood out, even more than orcs normally do. Preferring more intellectual pursuits rather than brawling caused him trouble as an orc. It wasn't that he was disdainful of the budding orc culture, its that he was already an outsider being an albino, so he often retreated into the net and electronics.

He was 8 years old when when the the bug spirits where released from the underground hive. He wound up on the wrong side of the CZ and spent the next several years battling for his life.

Christoph was11 when the CZ was lifted, he managed to get out into the rest of Chicago. In a fashion typical to orcs he was maturing faster than a human, his scraps in the CZ teaching him how to fight as his own keen mind and eye for detail making him unusually intellectual for an orc. It didn't take long for his talents to get picked up by gangs, even if they did treat him as a freak.

This lasted for another six years until at 17 Christoph was offered a job bigger than the gangs he'd been working for. He was just jacking out of one of the building's security subsystems when Crash 2.0 hits, the primary security node is completely corrupted, causing a total collapse of building security letting his team infiltrate with ease. Not questioning their luck the team roll with it until they find out what's going on, the simple luck of timing giving Christoph his street name, Snow Crash.

With the cash from the run, and the connections of the fixer, Snow Crash manages to leave Chicago behind and moves to Seattle where he settles into Touristville of Redmond Barrens. Once he settles in he starts steadily working in the shadows, although never having a formal education a long running and often loosing battle with insomnia leads to him spending nights trawling the net keeping tabs on the politics of corps and gangs and even reports on activities of major crime syndicates... when he didn't just retreat completely from the world into the amped up visions of BTL chips.

As the world moved into the 2070s Snow Crash hit his stride, the wireless world of the new Matrix brought together his hacking skills and combat abilities. An influx of jobs allowed him to reach out to a black market cybertech and over the next few years started installing several cybernetic systems to improve his combat abilities and with the help of some big runs even managed to scrape together for extremely expensive neural enhancements.

2075 proved a tumultuous year however; several high profile runs left Snow Crash on the run and needing to lay low, something not easy for an orc, much less an albino orc with the level of augmentations he'd received. He'd hidden out with a circus troop with a monochrome theme, his albino looks and white clothing blending in in a way he almost never does. He'd intended to keep his head down and remain out of trouble... but when a large pack of feral ghouls was set upon the troop and the neo-tribals they where sheltering with Snow Crash was unable to leave things lie and joined in on the fray.

His cover blown Snow Crash calls in some favors and flees the country and into anarchist controlled East Berlin. In the past year he has rapidly made a name for himself as a notable figure in the East Berlin shadows.

Since our characters are high-profile runners, I thought I'd write some of the things others would have heard about Mel, just to give an idea of what they know/don't know about her.


Mel is as pretty as any elf you're going to encounter. Not much is known about her childhood, but apparently she robbed her own parents before leaving the house. Others say that she was kidnapped and trained by a master thief, but I'm more inclined to believe the former.

She started appearing on the scene in Atlanta, first making a name for herself robbing a few banks with a crew of locals. If I remember correctly, one of her crew mates got busted for a stupid traffic infraction, something like bumping an AA executive's car or something equally as stupid. In any case, this trog starts singing and giving up all his friends, friends of friends and whomever he had ever heard any rumours about. So our pretty girl skips town like any sane person would.

After a few months, she turns up in Denver where she is stirring up trouble between all the different factions. Nobody knows for sure, but word is she was actually working closely with one of the Big Lizards. Obviously if that's true there is no way for anyone to find any proof of that, but it wouldn't surprise me of the damsel. Once her work is done, she skipped town once again and this time ended up all the way in Vladivostok, where she got caught up in a Vory faction war. Evidently she was on the wrong side of that since the Vory have a standing bounty on her head, but once again she was able to make it out of town.

This time it takes a few months for her to come out of hiding, but she does so in high-fashion: she knocks a casino in Vegas. Remember that story last year about the Oasis? That was her. Now, I personally heard that it was a shadow crew that was assembled specifically for this job, and that the Johnson had some ulterior motive, which is why our girl didn't get much out of this job. The authorities said nothing was stolen and it appears they weren't after the money, but nobody really knows what they got out of that casino.

She obviously got out of the country after that, and rumour has it that she's been spotted in London, no doubt preparing for her next thing.

Background

[spoiler]Daniel Smiling Wolf is a full blooded Lakota Sioux.  He grew up living a charmed life of a small town sports hero in Montana.

Everything came pretty easy for him, his natural charisma and athletic ability combined with the magic that enhanced both, he was a happy and popular young man.

This came to a screeching halt for him when his parents were killed shortly after he came of age.  He was automatically granted a delayed waiver of his country’s military service obligation, but he turned it down and showed up for training as scheduled.  He seemed okay, but it was clear early on he was changed.

‘Smiley’s’ abilities caused him to gravitate towards the Wildcats, and he would have made it had it not been for an ill-advised and poorly executed dalliance with an older woman who happened to be married to his training company’s XO.  While this didn’t kill his military career, it was the first sign of what became a pattern in his life.  For the next several years, Daniel would prove himself capable and even heroic in all manner of high profile and dangerous assignments, then he would have some ill-advised situation, usually involving some combination of women, alcohol or fighting, that would derail him and then his charisma or friendships would pull him back from the brink.

His luck ran out when, while working security at STC HQ in Billings, he killed a man in self-defense, a man who happened to be married to a woman Daniel was seeing and who happened to an aide to the Salish Council representative.
He came to Seattle to hide and make a life for himself, but has not bothered to try and break his pattern of subtle self-destruction, if he is even aware of it.  He has found a niche as a face and hand to hand fighter, but has also become known on the party scene and usually blows through any money he makes as a runner.
 
Daniel is a friendly and happy person, and a capable member of a team.  He is also an alcoholic and living on the edge is the only way he has of dealing with his demons.


20 Questions
• We are shaped by our heritage. Facial features, skin tone, height,
build, metatype, even aptitudes are influenced by the genes
passed from parent to child. Attitude, too, is taught by parents,
informed by their own lives and their cultural heritage. Where
does your character come from, what is her lineage, who were
her parents, and what did she inherit from them?

Daniel’s heritage is pure blood native Sioux.  His physical form is an idealized Native Warrior: Tall for a human, well-built and lean, long straight black hair and even skin tone.  He also inherited the stereotypical weakness of Natives for the ‘firewater’, but he is a VERY happy drunk.

• Parents can be proud of their children or regret ever bringing
them into the world. Some are loving, and some are indifferent.
All of them are only metahuman and have their own opinions
of their children. Assuming they could speak, what would each
of your character’s parents say about her?

Daniel’s parents shaped the man he is, and their death put a stamp on the rest of his life.  They were a quiet couple, very proud of their son and his accomplishments as a young man.  They would be extremely disappointed in the life he has lived since their passing, which in so no small part causes him to sink deeper into his vices when considered.  That said, the moral character to do the ‘Robin Hood’ style running that he favors also comes from them.

• Many people remember certain historical events for the rest of
their lives. For those alive in the first decade of the 21st century,
it could be the assassination of John F. Kennedy, or the
Tiananmen Square protests, or the fall of the Berlin Wall, or
the attacks of 11 September 2001. People remember where they
were, and what they were doing when they first heard of these
events. Shadowrun history has significant events as well, such as
the assassination of President Dunkelzahn, the Crash 2.0, and
the emergence of technomancers and artificial intelligences.
Pick a few events from recent Shadowrun history and ask where
the character was at the time, what does he remember about the
event, and what was he doing at the time?
Living in the backwoods of the Sioux Nation, Daniel was insulated from a lot of the drama of the fifth world beyond noting it on the newsnet screamsheets.  He grew into young adulthood in the wireless world, and as such he is competent at functioning in it.  The closest the outside world came to reaching in to affect him was Ghostwalker’s takeover of Denver, which brought all of the countries involved to the brink of war before calming down.  The reason he remembers it was that it caused a cancellation of a team trip he was involved with that was a big deal for him at the time, and he was quite selfishly pissed off about it at the time and got a sitdown with Dad for his trouble where he first learned that the world really didn’t revolve around him.
• Very few people choose to become shadowrunners. More
likely, they are thrown into the life by a chaotic and uncaring
world. Even if she made a conscious decision to enter the
shadows, her decision is influenced by the world around her.
How did your character get into shadowrunning, and why did
she take that path?

He wasn’t opposed to the idea of shadowrunning, and with his military background he was a good fit for the work.  For Daniel it is a means to an end, he started working the shadows so he could pay the bills, what few bills he has.  Jodie put him in touch with the right people and things just happed for him, as they tend to do.

• People have control over their own living arrangements. From
the child young enough to use crayons and tape all the way up
to the elderly shut-in who plasters her walls with family photos
and cat pictures, everyone makes their living spaces more personally
pleasing. What is your character’s living space like, and
what has he added or changed to make it his own?

His personal living space is a long term coffin, he goes there when he doesn’t have another choice and he needs to crash.  His home is Jenny’s place, second stool from the end of the bar, his sleeping arrangements usually involve a bootie call on good days, a cot in the backroom of Jenny’s on the normal days and where it was that he passed out and got left at any other time.

• Everyone has beliefs, and many have beliefs strong enough to
be convictions. Some are religious, some are political, some are
social, and some are just about why people are here. What does
your character believe in, what are her convictions (if any), and
why does she hold them?

Daniel is looking for something to believe in, or something to care about.  Right now he is living on inertia and habit.  The closest he has to a system of beliefs is martial arts, but even that is tenuous at best.

• Everyone has aspects of their personality that grate on someone.
Even the best of friends annoy one another from time to time.
The flaws in a person’s character are as important as the qualities.
What do you dislike most about your character’s personality?

That he is wasting the gifts he has been given, with his charisma and attributes he could be so much more and he just doesn’t care.

• The Sixth World is considered by many to be spinning out of
control. If anyone could exert control over it, it would be the
“Big Ten” triple-A megacorps. These transnationals exert a lot of
influence on everyday life in the 2070s. Which of the Big Ten
does your character hold in the highest (or least low) regard,
which does he like the least, and why?

He likes Horizon because they seem to enjoy a good party. 

• People make acquaintances and friends; we’re hardwired for it.
Humans are social animals. This is especially true in the shadows,
where often it is not the power you have, but the power you
can borrow, and not who you, are but who you know. There’s a
story behind each and every one of these relationships. What is
the story with your character and her contacts?

• It’s Sunday morning, and your character has no commitments
until tomorrow afternoon. What does she do for the day?

If Saturday night went well, which it usually does, he spends Sunday morning in someone’s bed, enjoying their company.   This usually leads to a late breakfast and whatever, the girl usually leads him around.  By evening he is back at Jodie’s to do laundry.

• Your character has a specific skill set, a list of Active and
Knowledge skills that define what she knows and her areas of
expertise. How did she come to learn those skills, and how did
she develop them to those levels?

His athletics and social skills developed naturally and are practically instinctual, combat skills were learned in the military, His knowledge skills are based on his lifestyle.

• Everyone has their limits. People can be dark, but most people’s
instinct is to draw the line at certain actions and thoughts, and
they keep to their own moral convictions. Is there a moral limit
that your character enforces on the jobs she takes, and in what
shadow work would she refuse to engage?

He might do wetwork if the price is right and there is risk involved, but he is not a casual killer.  He hasn’t run into it yet, but he won’t hurt kids or anyone who he knows is a parent.

• If you have an Awakened or technomancer character, consider
your character’s tradition and streams. Even within the major
established magical traditions and the recently emerged technomantic
streams, there is room for personalization. Ask yourself
what drew her to that particular paradigm, how does it effect
the way she views the world and her magic, how does it translate
into choice of mentor spirit or paragon, and how does it affect
the appearance of the spirits or sprites you conjure or compile?

His magic feeds what came naturally, or perhaps grew out of it, he is not sure.  He is aware of his talents and does what he can to develop them, if there is anything he does care about.  When Wolf entered his life it was simply as a companion, not much more than that, but he believes that his family has a close connection with the totem.

• While acceptance and bias vary from place to place, augmentations—
be they bio-, cyber-, gene-, or nanoware—are increasingly
common and available in the Sixth World. However, personal
technological enhancement is rarely cheap, and many implants
that runners possess are restricted. How did your character
come to have the enhancements she has, how were they paid
for, and what motivated the choices she made (if she did make
the choices)?

N/A

• Life as a shadowrunner is by definition outside the bounds of
“normal” life. Shadowrunners do not truly fit into the lives of
ordinary people, whether they live in slums or mansions. What
does your character think of ordinary life, mainstream culture,
and those who abide by it?

He doesn’t.  He accepts it and goes with the flow.  He is happy that normal people exist, but he knows he is not a part of that world.

• Everyone has nightmares. Sometimes, we forget the dream
completely on waking. Sometimes, the nightmare haunts us or
even recurs. If your character had a lingering nightmare or a
deep-rooted fear, what would it be, and why does he find it so
terrifying?

He relives his parents dying practically every night that he is not drunk enough to not dream, it pushes him under every time he close up close to straightening out.

• People tend to attach sentimental value to items in their possession
or people they are close to. They make an effort to
keep these close by and safe. What is your character’s “sacred
object” or “close one,” and how did they come to be so important
to him?

He has a flask, a beat-up silver flask with an embossed wolf that he keeps filled with good scotch whiskey.  It is important because it was given to him by his grandfather.

• One of metahumanity’s greatest assets is its ability to look toward
the future and imagine a better life. Even small children
have dreams about what they want to be when they grow up.
What did your character want to become when he was a child,
and what are his goals now?

He used to want a normal life, to grow old and become a respectable member of the tribe, now he want to live fast, die young and he really doesn’t care about the rest.

• A person’s appearance can say volumes about him. From fashion
sense, to the colors he prefers, to the way he walks and speaks.
Sometimes, his personality determines his appearance, and,
sometimes, the appearance he chooses to present the world effects
his personality. What does your character look like, and
what inspired his choices?

He looks good, he dresses plainly and simply and makes it work.  He is one of those guys that walks into anywhere in a pair of jeans and a T-shirt and keeps that stylistically relevant because it looks that good on him.  He doesn’t really own anything else, but will buy and dress up in clothes if he needs to.

• Everyone has a name, but a runner’s street name is a representation
of his connection to the shadows. Sometimes runners
choose their own moniker, but more often it is given to them as
a nickname or earned through some (mis)adventure. How did
your character come to be known by his street name?
Smiley comes from his birth name, and the fact that outwardly he is always grinning and happy.  He got it as a child when he actually was still a happy person.

Story: (Still working on it).
Tom Bergman was relatively high up in Ares. He was in charge of industrial espionage, and he was one of the best. However, one day he simply disappeared. A successful extraction mission... this was the first work assumption and since megas have connections everywhere, they informally knew that Renku was behind the extraction, but after enough pressure they admitted that the mission was never completed, the reward never collected and the involved runners were never seen again.

Shortly after an advanced worm attacked Ares database and erased every digital files about him. They did not stop there, anyone that knew him personally was assassinated. A strange biological weapon... rumour has it that they were poisoned years before he disappeared and somehow the poison was remotely triggered, as they all died in the same way in the same hour.

The current assumption is that Tom Bergman was captured by someone else entirely, but who? nobody knows. It may be a coincidence but two months after the virus attack a mysterious runner arrived in London. He contact a known fixer and pretended to represent a group of 3 runners, a mage, a decker and an infiltrator.  The Decker was named Magic, the mage was named Nonsense, and the infiltrator was named Poetry.

Many runners in europe, remember working with some of these runners. Heck, some fixers even hired all 3 as a team... It took a long time before his regular fixer understood that the 3 runners were the same person. It was due to a decker named Deadly Flower, he managed to call of the bluff. Infact, Solo and Deadly Flower became good friends after that.

Solo is very modest, he is very diverse in capabilities but does not claim mastery of anything. He has no ego, he want to get paid and he want to stay alive. After he was discovered he started running on his own as a runner named solo. He only started working with other runners when the missions became too difficult or too sensitive to trust a single person in doing them.

Once in awhile, some fixers still contact Poetry, Nonsense or Magic. They have no commlink and the only known way to contact them is to leave a page from the book Tom Sawyer in a postal box. On that page, a commlink frequency is to be written.

The number of the page represents the suggested pay, the higher the page the higher the pay. The hiring method goes from one desperate fixer to another... Magic, Nonsense and Poetry rarely accept missions nowadays- but when they do the pay is right. Nobody knows how Solo manage to read these pages... but since we are telling the story we’ll say that he does not have anything technological or magical in the postal box - he does not show there himself nor does he sends anyone. Instead he sends a minor spirit to materialize inside the box, read the top tom sawyer page and transmit to him mentally the commlink frequency.  No fixer have ever figured that trick quite yet, and Solo likes to keep his mystery.

One of the side effects of Solo running as Solo is that more and more people will eventually understand that Nonsense, Magic and Poetry are the same person... that said, the knowledge that he could fool so many people in the shadows for such a long time, along with the fact that he is still alive after such a long time makes Solo a legendary runner.

He is easy to like very polite and above all a professional. Unlike many in his fields he does not carry emotional scars, is not addicted to anything and despite making so much money he still owes quite a lot of money to the Italian mob. Rumor has it that Solo is indeed Tom Bergman - the only problem with this romour is that there is no Tom Bergman - the name itself has no digital reference at all... so the current rumor i- among those that did extensive background check on Solo is that Solo was once very high up in one of the mega's and someday decided to throw it all away and live like a street rat for many years. There is no reference as to why someone will give up a life of luxery with unlimited funds for the dangerous life of a shadow runner,  there is also no apparent reason why he owes so much money to the Italian mob after working for so many years... One of the myths is that he managed to pay them back a loan of 10 million nuyen and he is almost finished.

Please feel free to stick up a character, I will tailor the exact nature of the run to suit the final (Ish) number of players...

That in mind I'm going to start crafting the opening IC soon, hope to get it online sometime at the beginning of next week so that we don't loose momentum!

I'm going to assume you are all in London now, whether you have been a few hours before the opening post is entirely up to you and I'm happy for flashback posts to establish your presence there :)

If you need infos on our whereabouts: Isaint will have checked into a small bed and breakfast (Agnes B&B) with low security. The rifle is disassembled in a locker at a local gym/gun range together with other obvious illegal gear.
Until the call comes in, he'll be sightseeing with his real SIN and his real face, so he has an alibi afterwards why he is in London.  ;)

A Small Bit of Daddy getting set up and moved in in London, Still working on a decent background, After the bar he is going to wander around and get the lay of the land and setting up a routine before sightseeing and traveling the city with his real SIN

"Damned woman" daddy rasps into the night as he stands up, once again failing to get a halfway decent sleep, The familiar touch of bloodless lips touch the nape of his neck as he makes his way into the small back room filled with cheap plastic boxes, the now tattered labels revealing various dark and not so pleasant locations

"I have work to do woman, leave me alone" daddy growls at the specter before she settles her slashed arms across his shoulders as if claiming him, which in a way she probably was, Daddy rips open the largest box and starts assembling shelves of dark synth-oak around the walls of the smallish room as he moves his thoughts drift, to the moment when the damned and the hateful starting coalescing around him, even know he could feel their whispered words and the whisper light touch of dead fingers, If one were to peek into the astral one would see a swirl of spirits draping themselves around daddies form, some look pleading while others, ones with a sinister look and hateful feel about them seem to whisper into his ear.

A shiver slides down his back once again as he finishes putting together the shelve "I just need to work, stay busy" he glares over his shoulder at the dead woman before, with a sigh collecting the various items of his trade from their various temporary homes, tattered books start to pile up on the shelves along side other bric a brac that would make a hoarder proud, at least if that hoarder was a 20th century goth fanatic., Now days anyone with a inkling of magical talents would recognize the various items and remains dotting the shelves and piling in the corners of the room, their aura slowly infesting the floors,walls and ceilings of his newly acquired home.

Daddy had gotten a message from Stitches, Big work and Big pay across the puddle, off to one of the area of the earth saturated in old death and the spirits of the slain and thier slayers, oh fucking joy. But the pros outweigh the cons, its easier to get his lodge materials in the darker areas of London, Big surprise there. Oh well if this pays out it'll be worth it

daddy drags a cheap but well padded chair into the only corner of the room not filled with books, jars, bones or other less identifiable items and slumps into the padded chair. "You see, the air here, the old death and suffering of ages past, power suffuses the dark places, you just need to take it" her voices drifts away as the dead woman leans and and plants a cold, clammy kiss on daddies lips and . .


Daddy sits up breathing heavy, sleep banished in a heartbeat, Slowly daddies heart slows and he realizes what had happened, He glares at the woman "Never a moments peace with you" he growls before grabbing his coat and stalking away to find the nearest bar, the dead woman stalking just ahead of him like a Jealous lover.

Priority A = 4 pts, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1, E = 0, so you can have any combination to make 14 (it's normally 10!), so it might be A,A,B,C,D for example...

Don't worry about composition, it's likely to change a month down the line no matter what I do  ::)

I will tailor events/opposition to suit the current players...the more mages there are (two already) then the more magical opposition you'll face etc...

I've updated the character list on the OoC, 9 players which I will probably split into 3 teams of 3 (depending on PC preferences / plans which I won't overrule!) for the 3 different targets in the upcoming run.

Michael Gormont was born to his parent shortly after their "voluntary" termination from the Evo megacorp after a incident which involved the deaths of several "Innocents " of high standing, In order to avoid any form of backlash, Evo decided to liquidate the high threat response team.

after losing everything they turned to the shadows to make a living until Michael's mother was wounded on a run and a grimy street Doc told her she has a Kid and shouldn't get herself fragged. So after a long talk they decided to move to the UCAS with his fathers old shamanic mentor. Michael's early years were spent either Immersed in VR games and learning self defense from his mother or listening to the old stories of the spirits of the  world from his father or the old man his father called "coyote". But the old man always looked at him strangely and called him something that would always make his father angry.

These early years passed quickly and once he hit the age of fifteen his mother and father told hike they had to go to Europe, his grandfather had passed away. Michael was confused this whole time, sure they let him take his comm and games with him but he had never heard of this grandpa.The trip was short but scary, a HUGE man with horns drove a smallish plane, his father told him that his name was HamHock and that he was a old friend that Michael could trust. After eventually building the courage to talk to the troll Michael couldn't help but ask about anything and everything Ham had done before finally being shushed by his dad.

Eventually they landed on a grimy roof top and his father pulled out a strange device and attached it to the keypad by the door. Grandpa had apparently never trusted anyone with the codes to the roof door. After a few tense moments and his mother covering his mouth and whispering to be quiet his dad nodded and they entered the building. It stank and was real dark, His parents took him to what looked like a bedroom and told him to stay put while they looked for, something they wouldn't say what.It seemed like Michael was there forever so he decided to start looking around the room, This was probably his grandpas old room. After a few minutes of looking through old books and clothes Michael saw something big in the closet and went to look. But while he was walking a part of the floor, He found out later a trap door, gave way and dumped him into a poorly lit room, He landed on something cold and kind of squishy.

Michael looked around the room and saw all kinds of strange old things from his spot on the floor, Strange symbols and books, what looked like bones and real candles, "Finally" a soft voice whispered, With a jump michael turned aroudn to realize he was sitting on his grandfathers body, His fingers wrapped around something, as Michael stared transfixed a pair of white hands slowly crept from behind his grandpas head, a womans face slowly appeared, pale and cold looking.He wanted to scream but no sound would come, he scrambled away from the woman, He dark eyes glittered in the dim light and as she crept forward, her hands planted on the body, he say deep cuts and slashes across her body, but there was no blood. Her dark hair swayed in the light and she eventually locked eyes with Michael and Smiled before, Finally, he gained his voice and started screaming.

The woman vanished with a gust of cool dark wind as a large ghostly wolf burst through the floor growling, his dad climbed down shortly after and hugged Michael close burying his face in his battered leather jacket. they left quickly after that, His parents were horrified that their son had found the body and worse His grandfathers Black Lodge. His father shook as he watched his son drop into the VR games he loved so much, In the astral it looked like a woman was greedily wrapping him in her arms and what looked like souls were starting to gather about him and whisper to his son. Frank tried to banish the spirits but the woman never left and the souls didn't even seem to notice his magics.

Since his father couldn't do anything his mother saw to his body and tried to keep an eye on him the rest of the trip. When they returned his father went strait to Coyote and told him to do something, but it was too late, Michael had been changed, The spirit was the Seductress and it seemed she had chosen him.

After these early events Michael withdrew from the world for the most part, locking himself in his room and either jumping in his VR games, something he did more and more as he aged, this took a toll on him his body growing week and dark bags forming under his eyes. His father tried to teach him the path of the Shaman and to follow Brother raven, but it was pointless and eventually they got desperate and tried to find another magician who could teach him.

Eventually they found and man named Guilt, a experienced black mage and runner Ham had worked with in the past, Guilt told Michael that he needed to be strong, He needed to take fate in his own hands and strangle the Bitch. Guilt taught Michael all he knows of the black arts and after a few years, around when Michael turned nineteen, told his parents that Michael could now take care of himself and that they needed to fulfill their end of the bargain, They needed to do one last run with Guilt, None of them came back.

Using the money and equipment left to him by his parents and the few books and trinkets Guilt had left him, Michael took to the shadows, in search of power, money and excitement. He will be no spirits puppet and he wont let whats happened change anything, Life's short and then you die, Daddies gonna pave that road with the bones of his foes, The sweat of his lovers, the cries of vanquished foes and laughs of friends all because well he's damned anyway, why not?

Some of Daddies Personality

After the traumatic events of his childhood he at first became very withdrawn and retreating into various VR games, both new and old. This all changed when he started to get tutored by Guilt. After he learned more about his particular brand of magic he became a vary Confidant and outgoing individual, while most find him well creepy he is a outgoing and sometimes friendly individual. Hes loyalty is hard to earn but once earned he will stick by his friends. He does become very grumpy when he cant get to sleep and has to deal with the whispers of his unwanted mentor. In combat he is a ruthless individual, gladly killing any foe that stands between him and his goal and unless specifically told otherwise, he prefers lethal methods to any other way to deal with a opponent.

Short Story:

He suddenly sat up on his bed, pulling with him the tubes that connected his nose and left arm to various cannisters and machineries. His grayish green eyes opened up wide and he let go a scream, a mix of fear, pain, and surprise. Though of usually light complexion, he was paler than normal, his mid-length dark hair wet with sweat from a fever and terrifying nightmares. His toned and defined shirtless body was only covered with bandages running across his chest.
- "NON!" he screamed
- "Easy Pal, easy. Welcome to the world of the living." Said another man, in a deep comforting voice.
He felt a pair of strong hands on his shoulders, carefully pushing him back onto the bed; the humid cover perfectly cushioning his frame, sign he had been there for a while already.
His vision was blurry and he could only distinguish the features of the deep voiced man. The dark form appeared before him, and something set upon his nose and mouth, perfectly fitting.
- "Here, you need some more rest, you'll soon be back to shape." Said the man.
A few breaths in and consciousness escaped him. Everything went black, again.

He slowly opened his eyes and it took a few second before they could adjust his environment. The ceiling's light was dimmed down, and he could hear a regular beeping on top of the soft buzz of machineries. He heard a door opening and turned his head toward the extra light that appeared in his field of vision. He could see an imposing shadow but was unable to distinguish the man's features.
- "Well, well, well. Our Frenchman is awake."
- "Ou suis-je? He said in a rather weak voice."
- "Oh Boy! Recognizing French doesn't mean I can speak it Frenchman. Do you speak any English?"
- "Je crois... I mean, I guess, I understood you.... where am I?"
- "Welcome to Dr. Henry's private clinical facilities, Frenchman. The man said joyfully as he approached closer to the bed. I'm Dr. Henry"
This time he could finally see that Dr. Henry. A bulky black man with a more prominent belly. He wasn't really dressed like what he would expect from a doctor but, after all, the place didn't look much like a regular hospital room either.
- "What happened? ... what am I doing here? and why you keep calling me Frenchman?"
- "Whao, that's a lot; let's start with the easy part. Frenchman is because I don't know your name, and you kept mumbling in what I recognize as being French during your time asleep, which has been quite a while now... so what's your name?"
- "I am.... I ... I don't know... " He seemed concerned and looked at the doctor with a very worried look.
- "The trauma may have cause a temporary amnesia, it should come back with time."
- "Trauma?"
- "Nasty wound, you barely made it alive, you know." Dr. Henry said pointing at the bandages on the Frenchman's chest.
"The bullet was about two millimeters away from your heart, and you lost a lot of blood. Without that treated skin you've got you'd be dead for sure! A friend of mine found you on a backstreet a few blocks from here."
- "Here. Where is here? Where am I?"
- "No memories at all? "
- "It's all black... the only picture in my head is this room. And..."
- "And?"
- "I'm not sure... surgery room... lighter than here... it's more like feelings... struggle, fear..."
- "Well from what my scan showed me you were under the knife more than once; cyber, most notably your jack and a datalock I noticed, and some fancy bone lacing, maybe some bioware enhancements too other than that Orthoskin. Your subconscious may just be remembering those evens...You've been out for two weeks now. You need to take it slowly, stress won't help you heal. As for your previous question, here is my own little private clinic. So don't worry, I don't know what got you here, but cops ain't coming to ask unwanted questions. Here is London."
The Doctor was telling the truth, he could smell it. Olfactory Booster certainly. The same two questions kept pounding in his head. Who was he? What had happened?

The Frenchman looked at his reflection in the mirror. His beard had grown thick for his time spent in Dr. Henry's clinic. His skin had regain some color. The wound on his chest had almost closed up now; pretty nicely according to the Doc. He ran a finger over it; just as his life could have ended, he felt like being born again. It had been almost a month now since he got shot and still no memory of his life before that. It was scary. He took a deep breath, still looking at himself, his arms holding and supporting him on each side of the sink. He stood there, silently, his mind trying to make sense of the blackness inside.
Yet he was healed now, at least physically, and the doctor had given the green light to get out. He owed Dr. Henry a lot. Not only for keeping him alive, but for the time he had spent in his clinic. And he had nothing to pay him back... His only possession: a magkey, that looked like a locker keypass. No clue to where the locker was either...
That could however be the only clue he may have from his life before getting shot; he had to find it. The report the doc gave him of the cyber and bioware modifications his body had sustained was scarying him. Some would allow him to be a good courier, like the datajack and lock, enhanced muscles, or Synthecardium. But the extand of some modifications and wares just didn't make sense, for this job at least... the more he though of it, scaringly so, some would be great additions for a job like... assassination?
He watched his reflection, he wasn't sure he liked what he saw or what he could see rather.
- "I brought you some street clothes." Dr. Henry said as he interrupted the silence, entering the small room.
The Frenchman wasn't surprised though, he knew the doc was coming. He had smelled him...

- "Thanks. For everything. I owe you a lot. I wish I could pay you back."
- "Don't worry about the money. I'm sure with all the skills you have I'll find some useful favor to ask you one day. Plus just refer me to your kind when they'll need some care or surgeries."
- "My kind? what do you mean?"
- "You got no SIN, Frenchman. Yet you are superfit with enhancements that'd make some sammies envious. There's no doubt, you belong to the shadows. And if you didn't before, well maybe it's time for you to consider. A friend of mine can help you with this."
The Frenchman stayed silent, still deep in his though, then spoke up.
- "Well, how about I keep that in mind? For now I need to know more about myself. I'll look for that locker, it may contain information about me."
- "Sure thing Friend, take the time you need..."

There it was. Locker 2632, King's Cross Station. His still bearded face partly hidden under the hood of the sweater he was wearing, the Frenchman could feel his heartbeat accelerate. It only took him a couple days to find the location of the locker and he found out that he had his way with people. Even wearing old street clothes. Somehow he felt he'd rather be wearing a suit or something much more fancy than the very casual attire he was now wearing. Was that because that's what he used to always wear? or because he never could wear it and spend his life envious of those who were? Memories would disappear, habits wouldn't, good and bad.

There he was in front of the locker. With both hands inside the pockets of his hoodie, he was fondling with the magkey inside his left pocket. People were walking around him, living their own lives. Commuting, traveling, escaping, nobody was really paying any attention to him. He swiped the key through the old lock and the small door opened. The space was only filled with a shoebox. Should he open it now? what if the content was just too overwhelming? or what if no one should see what's inside? The Frenchman grabbed the box and left the station.

Less than five minutes later, he passed a back alley, and stopped, a gun pointed at his face.

Somehow, he wasn't afraid, not even worried. He had smelled the two other persons circling him from behind already. Punks. That's all they were. And he wasn't worried because he knew exactly what to do.
- "Give me your 'link, and that box!" Shouted the punk with the gun. A young ork, his leather jacket carrying the emblem of a gang he didn't know or remembered.
Muscle memory took over consciousness. His right foot pumped a strong kick in the kid's knee as his left hand, still carrying the shoebox slammed the light pistol to take it out of alignment with his face. Without waiting for the ork to fall or react he bashed at his target, sending a strong punch in the ribs followed immediately by a side hook on the ork's left temple. His assailant was out before he could even realize he'd been attacked. Yet the Frenchman, didn't stop. He used the momentum of his side punch to rotate toward the two behind him. They were humans of indian decent, also wearing a leather jacket but apparently just armed with clubs. They raised their weapon and launched at the French...


Removing the dust off the shoebox, the Frenchman gave a last look at the punks that tried to mug him. Two were out while the other was rolling on the ground with barely enough strength and breath left to cry out his pain. It was more a like mumble. It had been an easy fight, it shouldn't have been. His fighting skills were way above average, not only he just proved it, but somehow he also knew it, even before the fight had started. Memories and knowledge, quite different.
He hushed his way back to the coffin he had been renting for the week.

He needed to take a deep breath before opening the box. Not sure what he would find in it, maybe answers, maybe disappointment. He popped the lid open. A pistol in it's holster, some ammos, a credstick and commlink. And most interestingly, an ID. Which he picked up first. It looked pretty real, his picture displayed along some data lines and electronics chips for more information. But more importantly a name: Remy LeBeau.
He stared at it for some time, whether real or not he had a name. He glanced at the other items. He grabbed the gun. And muscle memory and coordination kicked in, along the with the smartlink. He rolled the gun, charged it, pointed it, rolled it back like he had done that all his life. He knew it was just a combination of his enhanced agility, both fine and gross motor skills, but together it was deadly. Who was he? What was he?
He emptied the box on the bed and looked inside hoping for more clues, but none were found. He thought about what Dr. Henry had said. He was but a shadow of himself... a Shadow, maybe that was were he belonged indeed, in that shadowy world of intrigues, action and betrayals. Yes. He'll be the Frenchman, Shadowrunner.

A few months since waking up in a street clinic, The Frenchman still doesn't remember anything about his past. However, he has found a life he's striving in. One of risk, vices, and high stake adventures. How he got those expensive enhancements he doesn't know, nor who decided to kill him, but his aptitudes with a gun are exceptional and he has managed to put it to good use.
He quickly made a few contacts in London, thanks to Dr. Henry, and borrowed some money to upgrade his standard of living, and get the necessary equipment for his job. A British Fixer hooked him up with a few run, and the outcome was outstanding, quickly making a name for himself in the right circles. 
The Frenchman turned out to be a socialite, comfortable around people, who likes women and drinks but when dealing with a job, he is overly discreet and professional.
Yet, behind the facade of a strong, charming and professional man, The Frenchman is torn. Many like to forget, all he wants is to remember. Remember who he was, remember what he was, remember who and why someone tried to kill him. And he'll stop at nothing to find out.
But he is afraid, afraid of what he may find. He knows now he has the skills of a cold-blooded killer. Maybe the ones who left him dead had a good reason.

Okay, I have tried again and again to get the background done in detail, but writer block stops my every effort, so here's the general overview until I get it done.

"Coyote" was born in the NAN, and lived happily with her family, until she started manifesting astral abilities. Then a crazy old shaman, late sixties or so who was obsessed with raising a whole commune of magicians dedicated to his path kidnapped her, took her to an isolated place in the middle of nowhere and started teaching her magic. He was abusive, but not to the point where she tried to kill him, until he went entirely bug-nuts when she turned seventeen. She picked a direction and headed out until she ran into a road, where she waited for a passing car. She hitched a ride to the local police station, and when her DNA matched that of a girl kidnapped 12 years ago, the police took her claims seriously, and she took them to the place in the desert. She found out that because of her kidnapping and presumed death, her parents had turned to drugs to cope and killed themselves with overdoses. With no purpose in life she aimlessly wandered for a while. Along the way she became associated with Shadowrunner, and decided to see what the life was like for herself.

Not very detailed atm, I'm having some serious writer's block issues atm.

If I can assume from our PM that my character is the 'Shadowrunner' his name is Smiley.  :)

If that is true, this kid's got a bad habit of falling in with the wrong people.  :)

Ok, initial IC is up so we don't loose too much momentum.  You will all get the 'call' from Torrent's 'link along with a packet of info to allow you to identify Mr J when you get there.  It's about 7.30 in the evening and the implications are that this is to be a 'rush job' so you'll be able to get more nuyen for your time (although we'll skip direct negotiations due to the way rewards work in my game!).

For those playing in CT, don't worry, I'm not abandoning that until we reach the end, but that shouldn't take too long now!
