What kinds of music is everyone listening to at the moment?

For me, it's mostly Avantasia (a Hard ROck/Power Metal Supergroup founded by Edguy's singer Tobias Sammet). When I'm not listening to that, I'm usually listening to Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, Edguy, Coldplay, or Styx.

What about you guys and gals?

(Okay, the last is my girl, but other than that, I enjoy Neo-Classical and Romantic era music, particularly written by nationalists [although I'm not a nationalist], flamenco music, experimental electronic music [electronic minimalism and IDM too], world music, jazz... Basically anything weird.)

But I do like "normal" music too. Any suggestions?

HardRadio.com is what I listen to the most.

I also am listening to Abney Park a fair bit, getting ready for when they release their RPG next month.  Nice birthday gift.   ;D

To paraphrase Goose from Top Gun, my playlist is long but distingished.

But at this exact moment, I am listening to "Ghost Love Score" by Nightwish. Next few up in my playlist is:

-10th Man Down and End of all Hope, Nightwish
-Bad Company, Five Finger Death Punch
-Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress, the Hollies
-Gimmie Some Lovin, Spencer Davis Group
-Little Less Conversation, Elvis Presley (JXL remix)
-Hero, Skillet
-Pornstar Dancing, My Darkest Days
-Rise, Origa
-Prayer for the Dying and Crazy, Seal
-Shadows of the Night, Pat Benetar
-No Easy Way Out, Robert Tepper

Funny enough, just a few hours ago. Not bad as far as covers go, but the vocals just seem to not do much for me.

The welsh cadence does give it a different feel.

True enough, it's not bad, but I find myself just liking the origional better. But then I thought the same way about the "Bad Company" and "Land of Confusion" covers the first few times as well.

I've recently discovered an artist that those Canadians have been hiding - Kristy Thirsk, and a group called Delerium.
