Well this wouldn't a normal length it'd have shorter blade about 16 inches in length straight blade with a tanto point. Is there a way to add a monofliment edge?

like others have said, take the mono-sword and call it a day.

Or check the mark-up from a standard sword to a mono-sword - as a percentage, not as a strait number.  Take the price for a katana; apply 80% for the wakizashi, then apply the mono-edge mark-up to that.

.. so a wakizashi for 800¥, * 1.9 for the mono-edge (which adds another -1 to the AP), giving you 1520¥ - or a straight 1900¥ for the katana version.

Me, I prefer bringing dikote back into the game, to be the armor-piercing 'adder' to blades (does not stack with monofilament edges).  Katanas go for around 9000¥, wakizashi for 8000¥ ... but you get a -4 to your AP.

Could it be applied afterwards or did you have to apply it while getting manufactured?

yea but under the really old rules, you could use it for armor too!

Maxed out the armor on your drones or ride? Bake on a coating of Dikote (0 slot cost) for an extra 2 armor! For the low low price of.... $1000 per 100cm3? (if I remember right)

It was the material of the too rich and lazy. Dikoted armor, drones, weapons, cars, bullets!

Square not Cubic
and ¥ instead of $ ;)

You could but the Cost would be prohibitive !
with Arrows and Knifes you have a good cost/effect Ratio
(even more with 9 Inch Nails that one of my Throwing adepts uses. You only need 5 x 5 MM Area for the Tip of a Nail ;) )

with a Dance to Nine Inch Nails

My guess is now in 5th time line most edged weapons are already dikota, but I hope it does get brought back. A dikota nadochi and all that lovely armor pen it would have.

Agreed. This looks like a 'training wheels' edition, that you can use to introduce someone to the setting, and then shift over to something like 5E or 4E. Like how D&D 5E is best used as training wheels for D&D 3.X.

Turned in Toxshaman for ¥1 million/4 once.

The 'NERPS' advancement thing is that there's always new armor tech, and then new armor penetration tech.  Thing is, while it may have been implied, it was never stated, and it has been stated that certain tech (monofilament edges) don't stack with dikoting - which means that, even just at a glance, dikote is missing.
