Anyone hear of something special happening for Crossfire at GenCon this year?

I know there was a picture of something called "Crossfire: Prime Runner Edition", but I haven't been able to find any info on what that is.

I talked to them about it. They said it's basically an updated crossfire. They'll have the updated rules online and sell little packs (mostly seems to be character sheet changes in pack?) For folks who currently have it. Also said they'll be coming out with a new expansion that builds the adventure as you go.

So if we already have it, we'll just need the new character pack?    I can live with that.

I s/w Jason about it and that's basically what he said. It's more a rules tweek than anything else. It's the same basic box set as the original but  with all the improvements they made for Dragonfire (basically a reskining of Crossfire). He said they were considering just putting a PDF up on the web site for the folks that had the original game. The real expansion is, as I understood it, a random mission generator.

I did play Dragonfire not long ago and it did feel less difficult. Can wait for all the new stuff because i definitely prefer the Shadowrun Universe than the D&D universe.

I wonder if it'll come with a better tray.   The current one offers plenty of room for expanding the cards, but not the runners and sticker sheets.

Well it will probably use a similar style to the Dragon fire character screens. The promotional display at GenCon showed that sort of set-up. And the Dragon fire box has a designated spot for character screens. So yeah, I think it will be a better designed tray.
