I had a Synaptic Booster 2 in an earlier draft, but then figured it would be better to use that BP for stats since I'm going to want to spend karma on initiation/magic and won't need money for much else than saving up for that. The character idea was "How fast can I make someone without using skimmer discs?" Then I made him an adept for +athletic powers to make him even faster. I also plan on taking Smashing Blow later, which combined with Elemental Strike (Sound), would let me jump through a ceiling, or I could do a running jump into the second story of a building, or earn the name "Runs Through Walls". Gave him pistol so he'd have something to do when running towards the person hes going to punch. Any critiques?

Backstory is he went through surge young and was trapped in his teenage body. Being a troll though, hes about average human height. Picked up the street name "Cheetah" due to his incredible speed and running down go gangers that pissed him off. Also called "Kid Cheetah" behind his back. He was good friends with another kid he grew up with who became a street doc at a later point in life. MCT learned about Cheetah and kidnapped him for experimentation. The street doc was forced to assist them in this and felt guilty about it afterwards. While being experimented on Cheetah Awakened and busted out, but the experience was traumatic and caused memory loss. On the streets, gangers he hanged with from his area noticed he was acting funny and reintroduced him to the street doc, who felt guilty and helped fill in some of the blanks, leaving his participation out of it of course.

If you want to save gear 10bp you could just replace synaptic booster 1 with wiired reflexes 1, 1.5 cyber +1 bio  = 2 essence. On the other hand why not consider the superthyroid gland for +3 to athletics? way of the adept+geas are other good options which could allow you to squeeze improved reflexes in to your adept powers, improved reflexes 3 (2pp) then you can drop the synaptic booster and get an extra pp spend or get said sythocardium

Yeah, losing 2 points of Magic due to 1.10 points of Essence loss really makes me cringe.  If you can scrape up a few more points to put into resources, I would replace the two points of muscle augmentation (you don't really need it with a Strength of 9) with synthcardium: 3.  That would boost all of your athletic skills, and give you an extra point of Magic to play with.

I'm already using "The Way of the Athlete", but how does geas work? I did consider supthyroid, but I'm already using 35BP of positive qualities.

Having a geass on an adept gives you an extra 25% off your pp cost. Technically you can take it 3 times for 3 different powers, but thats really cheap negative qualities. So I allow my players who take geas to let it apply to as many powers as they wish, but if they break it they lose acess to those powers for 24hours.

Its basicly a condition on your powers You must meditate one hour a day etc, but gives you another discount.
